Drank as Rhinelander Boatswain Double IPA. Supposed to hate this beer, I guess, but it’s not undrinkable, presenting an odd imperial wheat ale boozy clove-n-vanilla base with an outsized yeasty tartness and modest citrus hop notes. Confusing, sure, but not horrible, even if calling it a Double IPA seems almost treasonous among beer geeks. Would I actually buy a sixer? No. But if you’ve tried any of Walmart’s trouble brewing swill, you’ll appreciate that you can at least finish this pint.

Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy brown head. The aroma was dry, roasty, and woody with a hint of cocoa. The flavor was dry, bitter, roasty and woody with acidic burnt coffee. Long finish. Medium body.

At a tasting, thanks, as Rhinelander Boatswain, small stable bubbly head , quite clear deep oxidized orange color, bready flavor with hints of cake, oxidation, jam and wood, malty flavor, light to medium and a bit coarse bitterness. Drinkable but nothing too exciting.

24 ounce can. Orange and pineapple aroma - not much else. VERY pale yellow with small, very short-lasting head. and moderate effervescence. Very sweet orange-lemon flavor - maybe a hint of malt. Light body - not as boozy as expected. Can't say I'm disappointed - it's a malt liquor from Minhas. Just another overly sweet alco-pop drink - I'd welcome a Colt 45 after this. Hope there's no diabetic bacteria in my septic tank since it's getting 23 ounces of this.

24 ounce can. Watermelon Jolly Rancher, milk, and light malt aroma. Pale red - small short lasting head. Milk and watermelon flavor. Body of Kool-Aid. On the plus side - no noted Fusels. On the negative side, Fusels might have helped.

"Craft beer" to these guys means adding one percent ABV to a shitty beer. Just bad. WI, for shame.

Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo GBS set share. Thanks Mike. Pours a clear gold with a finger of active carbonation that lingers, then dissipates. Very corn and syrup forward nose. Syrupy sweet on the palate, corn fructose and light grass. Very fizzy carbonation that stays active. Boozy on the finish.

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear copper with almost no head. Aromas of toffee and sweet toasted malts. Flavors of burnt caramel, bread crusts, and alcohol. Grassy finish. Not much to write home about, but seems to have improved since previous ratings. Or maybe this has aged well :-)
