Stokhove’s first beer, since 2013, with a thin but stable, off-white head and hazy peach blonde colour. Aroma of orange peel, gingerbread, apple, honey, vanilla; fruity, sweetish, somewhat honeyish taste, caramel, well-rounded palate with light herbal hop bitterness in the finish, perhaps a little bit metallic but not in a disturbing way. Well-balanced but stereotypical tripel.

Sampled draft @ Brugs Bier Festival 2014. Orange, little white head. Smells of slightly tart grains, lemon, candy sugar sweet, light funk. Tastes of sweet candy sugar, lemon, touch lemonade, herbs, sweet malts, brown sugar. Touch ticker. Okay stuff.

Draught Textbook lace but only white rim over unclear straw-orange beer. Mlalts: pale, but also crystal or cookie-like. Smells nourishing. Herbal, herb, good bitterness, but finish are pale and toasted malts. Good balance, if only in the very finish there wouldn’t be a metallic bitterness, slightly spoiling the first better impressions. Medium bodied, certain slickness, well-carbonated. Interesitng, short of exciting.
