Re-rate February 4th 2013. [Original rating: 8-3-8-4-15=3.8] Hazy yellow color, small to medium sized white head. Smell and taste have something weird in it that reminds me of rice and corn. Probably a mix of those herbs and spices somehow. Lightly bitter in the end. Medium carbonation, medium body.

Shared a bottle with benzai. Pretty good, fresh and easy taste. Lovely mouthfeel, full bodied.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pours a golden color, a bit hazy, with a white head that lasts throughout. Aroma’s of candy sugar, some sweet fruit, hints of spices and hopbitterness. Flavor is slightly sweet. Body is on the thin side. Mild bitterness in the finish. I expected a horribly herbal/spicy beer, but this is actually quite a pleasant blond beer, albeit not very special.

Rerate: hazy yellow to orange colour with a medium white head. Smells herbs, spices and pretty weird to be honest. Smells like dough boilies used for fishing. Tastes herbs, spices, grassy, malts, sweet. Medium body, big carbo bubbles.

Pale golden beer, with a pillowy white head, though rather quickly receding to some floating fluffs of foam. Malty aroma, yeasty, notes of spices, fennel, pepper and light paprika. Nose is resembling a good Belgian Tripel. Flavour is nicely malty, fruity, quite hoppy. Also reminding of a Belgian tripel. Some anis. Rather sweet, especially when the initial flavours subdue.
I was rather surprised by this beer, it seems a very decent and balanced brew, even though it contains seitan, herbs and cane sugar. Only flaws seem that the cane sugar sweetness is a bit too hard and unbalanced at times, and the beer leaves a rather prickly feeling on the tongue.

750ml bottle shared by Travlr. Pale yellow, interesting oily head. The garlic doesn’t dominate, rather adds an interesting herbal earthiness. Quite unique, more balanced than I’d expect from a garlic beer. Floral, herbal, and interesting twist. Soft and creamy, a little odd.

bouteille 33cl dorée, blanche; Arôme malté, note épices, herbes avec un nez qui est dominé par le grain, blé/seitan. En bouche, simple bière blonde, touche de sucre de cane, palais épais/grains, houblon reste discret tout comme le malt, épice donne ce côté fenouil. Bière qui reste faiblarde et dont le fini reste relevé par les épices.
