Description

Originally the beers were made at the Proefbrouwerij but production moved to Anders (and sometimes Strubbe) in 2013. Exports 22% of its production, primarily to the Netherlands.

17th August 2008. Hazy golden beer. Unusual taste - itβs bitter throughout with a dry finish. But there is a couple of sweet notes of bubblegum and sugar. The aftertaste is hop bitterness. Found this slightly hard work.

Very slight haze in bright orangey-golden beer, under fluffy, just off-white head, fast disappearing. Dry, lightly spiced nose, artichoke, dry spices amongst which I suspect coriander; brown sugar. Quite spicy taste, neutral to light sweetness; watery, flat finish. Sweetness mounts in the aftertaste, not really pleasant, sticky. Medium bodied at best, feels more carbonated than the visual suggests. Yes, it does taste very alternative, bio, healthy,... and accordingly boring.

Good, irregular brown-yellow head over red-brown beer, well-carbonated. Dark malts, bread and dry firbranches, cedar. Iron in the nose. Sweet, lightly spicy, and again old, dark bread. Again ironoxyde in the taste. The water? Added for the head? Thick, creamy MF, with a drier, but rather empty finish. Slick (wheat?), nearly sticky after swallowing. A bit disappointing finish; rest makes up for an easy drinking beer, agreable if not really great.

330ml bottle at home from my 2009 belgian beer trip ... crisp light amber in colour ... with a nice easy soft bready yeasty nose ... flavour is smokey ... with a little woody and yeasy ... as well as a little salty ... all in all nice if fairly uninspired, but easily drinkable
