Description
We’ve produced quality beers over the years by challenging and refining our craft, not by appeasing trends. Discerning taste, rolled up sleeves, and upholding our uniquely progressive ideals ensures our drinkers will appreciate Upland beers as much as we do. Many of our brews are unique twists on traditional recipes, while others are creations of our own imaginations. At our brewpubs and tasting rooms in Bloomington, Columbus, Carmel and Indianapolis, flavor, discourse, debate, laughter, and conversation flow as freely as our beer.

Small cream head over brown-orange beer, veiled. Vinous, fruity, deep spirit aroma's, maybe Bourbon, but also brandy, fortified wine. Sweet-sour and really portwine-like. Finish has a fine, nice fruity acidity, discreet, but perfect for balancing. Here the Bourbon is slightly more plausible. Feels as slightly diluted portwine. Backthroat serious alcoholheat. Not very carbonated. Superb beer, amazing. I agree with " sour red ", NOT with " Flanders-style ".

Cherry, milk, biscuit malt, and hay aroma. Cloudy reddish amber with large light pink head. Lightly sweet cherry, creamy biscuit malt, lightly sour citric acid, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body.

500ml bottle purchased from Hoptimism and drunk at home. Light rose gold and clear with a small white head. Gentle funk on the aroma, mothball, sweet fruit, Chardonnay. Taste has a light almost wine gummy sweetness with a gentle sourness rounding out the edges of the finish. Oily body, mild carbonation. This is pretty simple stuff, but a lovely light sour.

Bottle. A- Plum, cardamom, herbal, tart. A- Dull purple color, cloudy liquid, off white head. T- Plum, herbal, cardamom, faint grape, slightly tart. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- Definitely the bets plum beer I've had and I love cardamom. Nicely balanced with a blend of sweet, tart, and savory. Good stuff and refreshing.

Bottle, bb 4/23 (WInes on Poath). Importer's label says ABV is 6% - it would be illegal to sell it here without a truthful statement of ABV. Opaque greyish red with a white head. Lots of cardamom in the aroma as well as crackery dough and vague stone fruit. Much more plummy upon a taste and the cardamom - which was maybe a little excessive in the aroma - is pushed a little into the background. A bit of that generic purple grape flavour. Soft texture with moderate sourness and some twiggy spices at the end. Good stuff.

Bottle thanks to Toby. Pours a chestnut hue with a small white head. A bourbon sour mash nose. Sweet, lots of flavor, nutty, caramel, sugary malts mix with hot bourbon. I like this.
