Description
Urban Artifact is Ohio’s home for sour beer; located in the historic St. Patrick’s church in Cincinnati. With a special emphasis on fruit beers, they have created a niche with their signature overfruited Midwest Fruit Tart style focusing on balance, drinkability, and real fruit. Brewing a bevy of different sour beers, from the standard German style gose, to the exotic spontaneously fermented barrel aged sour with a wide variety of different fruits, there is sure to be something new and exciting to explore. We are currently on pace to use over 400,000 lbs of real fruit this year alone!

Our Northside, Cincinnati taproom is open seven days a week, with food service provided by Wildfire Pizza Kitchen. We host live music five nights a week at the Radio Artifact Live stage, and make the historic church sanctuary, The Reliquary, available for receptions and events.

Radio Artifact, the Urban Artifact hosted independent music radio, can be listened to on 91.7FM HD2 in Cincinnati or live streaming online at radioartifact.com

Can courtesy of a friend. Thanks John! Pours a purple, ruby color with a full 2 fingers of pink head that dissipates slowly. Blackcurrant and strawberry dominate the nose with more various berry notes. Tart berry and stone fruit with a touch of banana on the finish. Enjoyable.

Canned 1/29/25, drunk 8/5/25.
Hint of haze in this vibrant blackberry-colored liquid. Small, purple-tinged head.
A bit grapey? But it's just black raspberry so I guess that's it. Smells great, though. Fruity and soft and rich and clean with moderate acidity.
Grapey, but juicy, rich, soft, malty and clean with proper acidity and balance. A flavorful, balanced beer right in UA's wheelhouse.

Tiny HF glass at Sam's place. Thanks Mr. Muck!

Hazy orange, pear gold.
Strong apple juice, brown sugar & floral pear nose.
Strong, stiff, heavy honey pear, strong sharpness, mild berry, big bittersharp apple finish, lovely grassy finish.
Boozy, sharp, hyper pear, not terribly boozy for what it is.

I thought it was big for what it is. Mixer material.

Hazy pour with minimal head. It smells of grapefruit, passionfruit, and cinnamon. The flavor is pleasantly tart with passion fruit and grapefruit. Spices, particularly cinnamon, are in there but kind of subtle. I don’t care for grapefruit on its own but it works well here

Pours hazy yellow-orange with a small white head. This smells like watermelon and lots of it. It tastes like it, too. It’s also quite malty and kind of jolly rancher-like. It’s alright though I’d prefer it was less candy like.

Deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma is raspberry some mild honey and sweet malts. Flavour is raspberries, some toffee, honey and mild tartness. Interesting, as I feel it's more braggot than sour ale.

355ml can bought as part of a delivery from Beers of America and drunk ar home. Yellow gold, a little bit hazy, with a small ephemeral white head. Getting a fruity sour aroma, lots of pineapple plus some grapefruit. Touches of vanilla. Tart taste, a good bit of guava up front, morphing into pineapple. Short finish. Watery body with medium to heavy carbonation. Decent sour.

Spotty lace. Aroma of mixed berries, vanilla and malt. Medium body with flavors of raspberry, blackberry, vanilla and doughy malt. The finish is tart and vinous with a lingering berry aftertaste.
