Description
Fremont Brewing was born of our love for our home and history as well as the desire to prove that beer made with the finest local ingredients β organic when possible --, is not the wave of the future but the doorway to beer's history. Starting a brewery in the midst of the Great Recession is clearly an act of passion. We invite you to come along with us and enjoy that passion -- because beer matters.

On tap at Bottleworks, pours a clear copper with a medium off-white head. Aroma is full of piney hops galore, resin and some biscuity malts in the back. Flavour brings out loads of piney hops, with some floral notes and very dry crisp biscuity malts. Super dry and flavourful, with a very crisp feel on the palate. An excellent house brew.

Sample at the brewery taproom. The beer pours a deep bronze color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of floral hops, oak and fruit. Light to medium body with an oaky character and flavors of citrus and caramel malt. The finish is oaky with an earthy hops aftertaste. Decent brew that trumps the base beer in my opinion.

Bottle as shown. Pours a very dark brown with paper thin tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is roast oak and bourbon. Medium mouthfeel with strong oak and booze with roasty finish. A very good imperial stout from Fremont.
