On tap at the Brewpub. Clear light golden. Light sweet malt aroma. BP menu refers to it as a Belgian but not much of that character is dete0ted. Flavor os light pale malts. Some vegetative fumey notes as well. Almost malt liquorish. Light bright and lively. The ABV is there but dowsnt detract much. Interesting.

Pours a copper orange with a large, off whtie, foamy head. Floral, citrus, and pine hops. Fruity freshness, bitter, malt, and sweet. Flavor is all IPA. Citrus, pine and floral hops. Orange, some sweet malt, and a touch of refreshing fruit flavor. Medium, dry body. Finishes bitter and dry. Haven’t gotten my hands on a real good IPA in a while (Japan likes there IPAs to be sweet) and this has rekindled my love of this style.

Draft at brewpub: Poured a yellow/straw color with a large white head. Decent lacing. Aroma of light bitters, wheat, and maltiness. Hints of citrus. The taste is smooth up front with a solid wheaty malt, hints of citrus, and a little hop bitters in the tail. A different take on the style - nice.

Draft at brewpub: Dark brown pour with a modest tan head. Nose is sweet with bourbon, oak, and molasses. The taste is also sweet; bourbon, light on the roasted malt, molasses, and brown sugar. Bittersweet chocolate lingers in the tail. Overall quite enjoyable, just a bit sweeter than to be desired when compared to my ideal porter.

Growler from the brewpub. Big sweet chocolate and burbon aroma. Subdued roasted notes as well. Flavor was sweet but very robust. Soft roasted flavor and some coffee and milk chocolate. Lacking the sour ascidic character of most of the style. Soft carbonation and a fairly thin but very smooth palate. Thanks for bringing this one back, Jake.

Draft at brewpub: Poured a light hazed golden orange with a medium sized white head and nice, thick lacing. Nose is citrus and piney, a little malty sweetness. Plenty of hops for the American Pale with citrus and pine notes. Sweet from malt and a little dryness in the finish.

On tap at brewpub: Light golden pour with a smaller white head. Light lacing. Nose is light and crisp, hints of citrus and spices. Taste is less spicey than expected with more emphasis on the citrus hops and malt character. Coriander is evident, as well as the orange peel. Nice, dry and lingering finish.

On the X-Tap at the brewpub: Pours a dark orange/copper color with a smaller white head. Nice lacing. Nose is mild of citrus hops and sweetness. Taste is rich with citrus hops, maltiness, a little hint of spice, and the orange peel. Orange is easily detectable, but not offensive. Nice bitters in the trailer. When compared to it’s sibling, it comes up just short.
