Bottle 0,33ltr: Dark brown colored brew with an sweet bitter taste, with hints of dried fruits, caramel and some chocolate. Pretty decent brew, reminds me of an Rochefort 6.

Bottle at home, black beer, small head. Aroma is malt, roast, light coffee. Taste is the same, malt, roast, coffee, fizzy, bitter, not bad.

0.5 l bottle from ''t Biermenneke', bottled in February 2022. Clear, very dark ruby with a thin, beige layer on top of it. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity, minimally yeasty aroma of plum, raisins, cognac and some molasses. Rather sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity and slightly yeasty taste of molasses, caramel, plum, raisins, cognac, some licorice root and light chocolate, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, a little woody finish. Medium to full body, minimally astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very well-balanced Dark Ale with pleasant cognac flavours. Not the most outspoken beer of this type but a decent sipper overall.

Bottle. Black. Peat dominating the aroma. Malty sweet peaty, has thinned because of the barrel aging. Caramel, hint of roast. Whisky.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Oak, peat and whisky in the aroma, blowing away the caramel. Malty sweet, medium bodied, but has thinned around the edges. Caramel, licorice, whisky. Dust and a hint of peat. No carbon. Decent.
