16 oz can purchased at Cub Wine & Spirits in Crystal, Minnesota. The pour is black brown with a light white head. The aroma is char roast, soft mineral. The taste is a nice balance between the roast malt and the soft sweetness gently below. The palate is light bodied with soft carbonation and a clean earth mineral finish. Super drinkable.

“Mechanical issues” for the plane. So yeah…. Already called the car rental company and they don’t have any cars here, which sucks.

On tap at Utepils, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma has toasted chestnuts, toasted breath malt, and a hint of esters from the Belgian yeast. Flavour is sweeter than expected, with moderate esters from the Belgian yeast, toasted chestnuts, and bready malt. The yeast isnt utilized right: too sweet, doesnt have that proper Belgian quad expression from the yeast, etc. typical North American quad. Nope.

On tap at Utepils, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma isnt giving off much other than light herbal notes. Flavour is a little more expressive, with light herbal hops and dry biscuity malt. Doesnt strike particularly as a helles. Inoffensive but uninspiring.

On tap at Utepils, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is lighter than the regular Pils, with subtle grassy hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour has a somewhat dull, unpleasant hop expression just come across a bit stale and armpity. This is a dud.

On tap at Utepils, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has soft grassy hops and somewhat crisp biscuity malt smells under-hopped. Flavour is crisp enough, with gentle grassy hops, and dry biscuity malt to back. Somewhat seltzery and above average carb. Doesnt seem like a Czech pilsseems more German. Pleasant enough but nothing special. I want more hops.

On tap at Utepils, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is legit, with soft wheaty notes, light lacto, and a touch of citrus. Flavour is dry, wheat and lightly tart, with plenty of slime and seltzery dry finish. Correctly made; not one of those sweet or lacto bombs that pollute the market these days. Good stuff.
