Description

In 2022, we decided to join forces with Siphon Brewing and start a new brewing site in Michelbeke, in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes.

[33cl can from Beer52’s 2024 Belgian box, matching this description, photo and ABV.] A cola brown coloured pour with a ring of tan head; a touch of cinnamon on the nose; thin and watery in the mouth with an oily texture, some charcoal and a hint of coconut; then some warmth in the belly and a little cinnamon to finish.

330ml can via Beer52, assume it's the 2019 version as Cinnamon and Coconut are mentioned on the can and it's 5.4% ABV. Drank at home on 7th December 2024. Tanned topping on a black body, dry with a spicy coconut feel, all a bit subtle but there non the less.

Pours a clear, medium dark blond. Very little, almost none, foam. Scent is very mild. Crystal malts , whiff of herbal hoppyness. Very low key. Taste is very hollow, straight up NA recognizable. Mild crystal maltyness that builds up and for sure provides nearly all the aroma here, but they seem rather dull, stale, and boring. A sticky sweetness that is common in NA beers, but even more so pronounced here than is average. Hops are very hidden. Just a touch of bitterness, barely any aroma. This sure is below expectations...
