Flesje gedeeld door B. Licht amberkleurig bier met matig schuim. Aroma van hop en mout. Smaak is moutig en bitter. Nasmaak is eveneens bitter.

24 February 2019. Wieze Bierfestival - cheers to Meeki, Ama Deke & the lovely Anke! Hazy dark brown to black with a lasting, small, foamy, beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, mocha, toast, burnt caramel, black olive, sweet tobacco, candied plum, banana, raisin. Taste is medium malty sweet, notes of candied banana, burnt caramel, licorice & chocolate, only light roasted bitter then, with toast, mocha, more (spicy) licorice, some dark fruits (raisin, fig) and a touch of ripe pear rendering it slightly phenolic. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, quite phenolic still, lingering licorice & burnt caramel, and a good dash of warming liqueur alcohol. Medium body, slick-oily texture, soft carbonation. I wasn't disappointed but I still expected more (due to the name, more of a Moersleutel-like thick black brew).

sample shared @ Bruges Beer Festival 2019 day 1. with 77ships, tderoeck and nathanvc. F: big, white, average retention. C: deep gold, hazy. A: orange, tangerine, bit passion fruits, mango, pineapple. T: the same as in aroma, medium body and soft carbonation, nice fruity and good balanced but somehow I expected more hoppy character because of name, enjoyed.

3 February 2019. At Brugs Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke & Pieter! Cloudy black with a big, lasting, foamy, dark beige head; lots of lacing. Aroma of raisin, blackcurrant, blue plum, mocha, milk chocolate, chocolate mousse, soy milk, brownie dough, vanilla, custard & crème brûlée. Taste is medium malty sweet, lots of chocolate & brownie dough in balance with fruity notes of raisin & blackcurrant; a nutty edge initiates a light roasted bitterness that carries mocha, roasted nuts & toast. Dryish, toasty, bit earthy hoppy finish, lingering dark fruit & chocolate, and a subtle dash of warming whisky alcohol to top it off. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Restrained in typical Stout roastedness, but thanks to that a very smooth one.

Bottle shared at home. Thanks to Benzai! Hazy golden with white head. Sweet malts, citrus peel fruity, grassy raspy dry. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. Quite nice with tasty yeast profile that goes well in the beer. --- Beer merged from original tick of Lupulin Monster on 09 Feb 2019 at 20:35 - Score: 7. Hazy golden/blond colour, creamy white foam. Nose of tropical fruit, American hops. Taste is light sweet, hoppy, some pine and tropical fruit, maybe a bit too yeasty.

2 February 2019. At Brugs Bierfestival. Cheers to tderoeck, 77ships, Rubin77, Jerre, Kevin & Anke! Clear yellow-orange with a lasting, small, unstable, frothy, white head; little lacing. Aroma of grapefruit peel, unripe mandarin, green banana, lime, mango, fruity sorbet. Taste is medium fruity sweet, lots of mandarin, some banana; light to medium hoppy bitter then, bitter mango with faint grapefruit peel, a bit yeasty, grassy, spicy touch. Dry, grassy hoppy finish, bit resinous, lingering bitter fruit. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Easy-to-drink hoppy blonde!

Bottle from Pede, St-Lievens-Houtem. Hazy yellow colour, white foam. Not a lot of aroma, bit yeasty, some malts, citrussy. Taste is rather weak, bit fruity, nothing special.

Black with huge beige head. Mild coconut and vanilla aroma, roast, chocolate and sugar. Flavour has malt, roasted malt, fruit. No coconut or vanilla. Caramely, dried fruit sweetness. Boozy.
