330ml bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours cloudy pale gold, thinnest ring of white head. Aromas are grainy, lime, light sour. Taste is more wheat, cereal, lime and lemons. Light sour lemon taste, zingy finish. Nice.

Bottle from Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Appearance - cloudy lemon brown. Nose - like real lemonade with a hint of shandy. Taste - tangy lemon barley water. Palate - light bodied with a tangy texture and a dry tangy finish. Overall - quite like this, despite it not being a style I usually go for.

Murky amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and finely crisp. Good bright brett. A little citric peel on the back end. Brett turns savoury in the light finish. Good stuff. More hops would be even better.

Very hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and dry. Good fine carbonation. Dry seltzer. Pink grapefruit. Dry orange and mild pith. Touch of spice. Dry finish. Not bad but a bit too dry.

Keg at The Hanging Bat. Hazy orange body with a thin white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of juicy lemon, mango and passionfruit. Flavour of Skittles, sour orange and lemon zest. Medium body with a spritzy texture. Lively fizz. Really juicy and refreshing. I didn’t realise Amarillo had such fruity qualities; I’ve always appreciated it for its mineral, flinty notes. A cracking beer - I’ve liked every Chorlton beer I’ve had so far.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy bronze body with a massive off-white head. Lively carbonation. Light lacing. The aroma reminds me of Orval - lots of green apple, nectarine, funky yeast, parma violets and hay. Flavour of apple, lemon sherbet and salted bread. Bitter peppery finish. Medium body with a spritzy mouthfeel. Lively fizz. A wonderful beer with lots going on. Any beer with ’Farmhouse’ in the title is one I seem to like - I love the raw, yeasty flavours.
