Bottle at home in London - sourced from the Merchants of Beer. Opens with a loud hiss. Pours mostly clear gold with a large, frothy white head. Vibrant tangy citrus fruits in the nose, some pine, lime zest, lemon rind. Light sweet flavor with mellow acidity, more lemon, some tangerine, light grassy bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation and massaging texture. Clean and tart on the finish, with further lemony tartness, subtle funk, grass, pine needles. Very nice, tart and refreshing. Quite a well made beer.

Bottle from BeerMerchants. It pours hazy orange with a decent white head. The nose is soft, juicy, orange, tangerine, mango, funk and lemon drizzle cake. The taste is crisp, tart, juicy, orange, tangerine, lemon, fruit punch, mild acidity, sherbet, earthy and damp wood with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Very juicy and quaffable. I am a fan.

Keg @ The Sportsman, Huddersfield. Black with next to no head. Full of dark malts rather than true lager malts, with a good roasted flavour to be found in here too. Its nose carries a small dirty floralness behind the roasted malts.

Bottle at home, from Beer Gonzo, 19/05/15. Light black with a decent beige covering. Nose is bitter berry fruits, wooded notes, fruit balsamics, stewed raspberries. Taste comprises more tarte red berry, cherry balsams, light wood, stroke of acidity. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough offering if a little 1D.

Cask @ Piccadilly Tap, Manchester. A cloudy pale orange colour with a small bubbly head. Has a large citrus sourness that’s more stated in its aroma than taste, but prevalent throughout with a bitterness.

Bottle at home, from Beer Gonzo, 16/05/15 - slow gusher warning. Murky pineapple jus yellow/orange with a moderate off white covering that veers edgeward. Not a looker - just avoids a 2 ! Nose is citric hop, mango, light puke, apricot, mango, light lactic tones, lemon rind. Taste comprises zingy citrics, sharp lemon, acidic tones, pink grapefruit, damp hay. Medium bodied, fine carbonation with a little spritz, tarte close packed with citric sherbets, juicy hops and light puckerings. Solid refreshing hopped up sour.

Hazy gold - amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Nice light orange peel nose. Palate is airy and crisp. Light fresh orange, tangerine and lemon citrus with a mild sourness. Light crisp finish. Like orange juice and tangerine, watered down with a squirt of lemon. Not bad, just a little on the thin side.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at UBREW in Bermondsey. Pours unclear yellow, quite effervescent, with a thick, frothy white head. Nice tart lemon aroma, underscored with notes of grass, pine needles and citrus rind. Light sweet flavor with moderate acidity, good lemon bite, some pale bready sugars, lightly bitter pine needles, touches of salt. Light bodied with lively, small-bubble, massaging carbonation. Crisp and cleansing on the finish, with further lemon acidity, light sourdough bread, some lemon rind, grapefruit juice, soft grass and straw. Really, really drinkable. Nicely done.
