Cask at the Harwich & Parkeston Winter Ale Fextival 2017. Rating #4000, Brewery #2043. Pours very dark brown with a bubbly beige head. Aroma of coffee, malt, chocolate, moderate roasting, dark fruit and brown sugar. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight oily and watery texture, soft to fine carbonation. Finish is dry, fruity with lasting roasted peanut chocolate. Could benefit from a little more body but otherwise pretty good.
