Bottle from Beer Central, Sheffield. It pours clear deep brown with a decent bubbly off - white head. The nose is toasty, earthy, wood, cocoa, light caramel, coffee and tropical citrus. The taste is rather bitter, earth, charred pine, varnish, leather, hop astringency, pepper, soapy citrus rind and resin with a dry, woody finish. Lingering dryness. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent bitter brown ale.

Gravity cask at Craft 100 spring 2015 - London. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. The nose holds rindy citrus and pale bread. Light sweet flavor with faint plastic, hay, grain. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly sweet to finish with some bitter grain husk, lemon rind. So so.

[ As Hopcraft Ryevolution ].Clear medium yellow orange color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, rye, pale malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, earthy hops - malt. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, pale malt, hoppy, UK hops, hop bitter, dry, earthy, rye. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141009]

Cask at the Nags Head, Reading. Pale amber with a loose white head; sweet vanilla roma with perhaps some coffee; smooth, velvety and swwet in the mouth with vanilla and coconut flavours; and a dry lingering coconut finish. An odd beer.

Cask at the Nags Head, Reading. An opaque black pour with a ring of tan head; chocolate malt aroma; rather thin in the mouth with a sweet malty body, and some chocolate; then a dry finish with lingering drinking chocolate and stewed plums. I really didn’t pick up on the orange in this.
