Craft Tottenham Court Road. Cask. Almost clear deep amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is smooth and light, very modest carbonation. Smooth malts, mild cream. Light floral bitterness. Decent but mellow citric peel bitterness. Little marmalade. Smooth finish. Decent beer, but again let down by a fairly flat palate.

Craft Tottenham Court Road. Cask. Clear deep red - amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and mildly dry, very modest fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, no roast but there is a trace of cream. The Sorachi lemon is nicely integrated here and not too strong. Light finish. Reminds me of the Emelisse Sorachi RIS but much more mellow. The condition could be better.

Craft Tottenham Court Road. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, decent white head. Palate is light and semi dry, carbonation levels - pretty modest. Smooth pale malts, not that sweet. Hops start with a mellow skunk followed by mild lemon and floral bitterness. Finishes light and dry with medium bitter linger. Nice flavours but condition a bit shabby.

Cask. Shakespeare’s, Sheffield. Clear, very dark chestnut brown. Sudsy but thick, lasting, beige head. Aroma is a nice blend of nutty chocolate and lemon citrus. It’s a bit earthy and woody, too. Taste follows suit with an initial sweetness that turns zingy bitter. Decent body. Very clean for a porter. Finishes long, fruity, citric bitter. Just get a little spice on the close, too. Nice one.

Many thanks to Beersiveknown for this bottle. Very nice floral fruity nose. Not too deep, a bit sweetish, floral with sweetish grains. Not too deep, grainy neutral bitter finish.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 17th July 2015. Gold with thin lasting white foam and scant lacing. Yeasty, hoppy aroma. Bitter hpooiness in-mouth with very fine grapefruit. Citric and bitter finish. Medium-bodied with a light mouthfeel. Superb.

Cask: hand-pulled half-pint at Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 17th July 2015. Clear golden pour with a white topping that gave heavy lacing. Pump Clip says it’s a ’White Porter’ I liked the sound and idea of that and really enjoyed it: my last beer of the evening and a fitting ’night cap’. Vanilla and chocolate fill the nose and mouth flavour wise, a but sweet maybe but I like sweet brews anyway, so it suited me. Smooth body feel and fairly ’slick’ all round. Complex and interesting, another fine beer from Hopcraft.

Many thanks to Beersiveknown for this 33cl bottle. Great dark roasted earth nose. The beer starts intense dark roasted with a subtle sourness. Very dry. Lots of earthy viscous roast, dark malt, nice roasted rye profile. The floral hops are there and harmonise fresh on to of the earthy mud. The bitterness is high - but more from the malt than from the hops. Extremely burned bitter and dark dry aftertaste with hints of floral hops. Very interesting!
