The Fox. Tap takover. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, small cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry and crispy. Smooty dry dark malts, mild tang and mild sweetness. A little dark chocolate and coconut before a sweetish and semi dry finish. A vague floral hop bitterness lingers on.

The Fox. Tap takover. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and slightly crisp. Mild dark malts and a nice mild malt cream. Tangy sweetness, very mild maple. Trace of dark fruits. Finishes airy and semi dry. Indistinct hop bitterness. Pretty drinkable.

Cask at The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon, Tuesday 3rd February 2015 Golden in colour, good clarity, the trio of C hops more than make themselves shown. Nice citrus bite in mouth, hops tickling the tongue, plenty of happy burps, however for all of the positives I still felt a little underwhelmed and next to the Hopcraft Rodgering this was found wanting. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov12 3.3

The Fox. Tap takeover. Almost clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, fine carbonation. Light pale malts, dry with modest sweetness. Good Mosaic prescense, a little skunk, tangy crystallised fruits.Underneath - passion fruit led tropical fruits, mild pineapple. Light semi dry finish. Bitterish linger. Nicely done, if a tad dry.

The Fox. Cask. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest and very fine and modest carbonation. Light malts. On top is mild bitterness and then pretty bitter citrus with some citric peel. Whisper of tropical fruits under the bitterness. Semi dry finish, long strong bitter linger. Not very Abbaye but nice and bitter.

Cask at The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon, Tuesday 3rd February 2015 Pours dark brown with a glint of ruby. Light roastiness with a lovely blast of citrus and also resiny pine, it is a lovely streaky vein of citrus in fact, really good. There is also a goodly dab of cocoa, mhhh..it’s a nice balance, really good. Like this a lot. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Cask at CBC St. Giles - London. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. The aroma holds dry melon, tangerine, orange rind, dry pale malts. Light sweet flavor with mineral dryness, more melon, dried orange rind, pale bread, sand, toasty hay. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Dry pithy citrus in the finish with further melon, minerals, dried out pale malts, slight dry pine bitterness. Not bad.

Cask during Craft 100 at Craft Beer Co. Clapham - London. Pours deep brown with a foamy, off-white head. Solid stuff, with lots of baking cocoa, general chocolate, slight roast, moderate torched wood. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with light bitter burnt wood, more bittersweet baking cocoa. Has good depth and is very drinkable.

Keg at the Fox - London. Pours black-brown with a creamy tan head. The nose gives off some dark fruits, oily chocolate. Medium sweet flavor, a little bit subdued, with notes of bittersweet cocoa, burnt wood, raisins. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Decent balance on the finish, some bitter earth, further burnt wood, chocolate malts, burnt grass. Not bad.

Keg at the Fox - London. Pours clear black-brown with a creamy khaki head. The aroma holds some sugary chocolate, burnt marshmallows, dark earth. Medium sweet flavor with lots of dark sugar, burnt grains, some vanilla pods, scorched earth and wood bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes sweet with moderate bittersweet cocoa, more scorched earth, dried dark fruits. Not bad.
