Description
The Rothaus Brewery was founded 1791 through the Benedictine monastery St. Blasien in the “Zum Rothen Haus” inn (“To the Red House” in English). Following the secularizations of 1806, the Rothaus Brewery fell out of the hands of the monks and became property of the Grand Duchy of Baden and was renamed the “Großherzogliche Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus” (Grand Ducal State Brewery Rothaus of Baden). The November Revolution of 1918, which led to the abolition of the monarchy in Baden, caused the company to shorten their name to Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus (State-owned brewery of Baden), as from then on the brewery was owned by the federal state of Baden.

Since 1922, the company has had the legal form of a stock corporation, the shares of which are currently held entirely by the associated company of the state of Baden-Württemberg. The continuously large demand for Rothaus beer has in the past made large investments necessary. This allowed the Rothaus Brewery to grow into one of the most modern facilities in Germany.

Flaska från Kihoskh(?). Kanonfin doft - knappt skiljbar från icke-alkoholfri. Smaken förstås inte lika nära, men det här är troligen bästa alkoholfria ölen jag druckit. Mycket bra.

500ml bottle. Hazy, orange golden colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Wheaty malty and yeasty fruity, minimally doughy aroma, notes of banana, leafy overtones. Taste is dry, wheaty malty, slightly yeasty doughy, minimally yeasty fruity, diluted hints of banana, leafy overtones, a lemon dash, Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Relatively clean, well disguised doughy flavours, refreshing - one of the better in this style.
