Old rating from 17-01-16 - 500ml bottle, from Love Wine in Jersey. Abv is 6.5%. Pours a jet black colour with a beige foamy head. Aromas of roast & oysters. Tastes is of roasted chocolate, caramel & toffee with a underlying bitterness of oysters in the aftertaste. Overall not a beer I loved, and may not choose to have a second.

Bottle, Beer Library. Can’t see a date. Almost black, tan head. Aroma of caramel, the sea, mocha. More intense - in an unfurling manner - upon a taste. Firm roast, minerals (rather than fleshy oysters), the fireplace. Alive, almost creamy. Bitter at the end. Memorably good.
