Bottle. Earthy orange malt and pine/grapefruit peel aroma. Slightly hazy golden yellow with giant white head. Sweet grapefruit juice, lemon, malt, and moderately pine/grapefruit peel flavor. Nice.

Marshmallow peeps, coriander, mint nose. Shimmering golden, thick lacy head, nice retention. Coriander, mint, spicy yeasty phenols. Light body, fizzy. Good, but then again, Iโm in a small minority that likes this style.

Just a taster at Fox & Hound Aurora, served on nitro. It may be unfair to rate this right after a Not Your Fatherโs Root Beer, but letโs see how this one goes. Very deep brown, almost black, more like a Stout except the head is a tad lighter. Smell is distinctly of chocolate roast malt more than chocolate addition. But not roasty or astringent. Taste settles more into a sweet Stout neighborhood. Perhaps itโs because of the desire to bring in a cocoa character. After a few sips, though, my nose does pick up a sense of chocolate bar. But this actually comes in pretty dry. A little smoother than a roasty stout, a bit more flavor than a porter. That is not a bad position to be in.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is a big chocolate milk. Hershey syrup comes to mind. Flavor is another dose of chocolate syrup with a lingering sweetness. Those cacao nibs are really doing their job here b/c you canโt get this much chocolate flavor from just the malt alone. Pretty tasty and will satisfy your sweet tooth.

Draught @ Albion. Dark brown with small creamy beige head, chocolate aroma, low carbonation, sweetish chocolate shake taste, thin body, abrupt finish. Feels watery despite the relatively higher alcohol content. Still not bad.

Bottle: Hazy, yellow, with a tall white head. Lemon, yeast, grain aroma. Taste is saison-like.....peppery, yeasty, lemon/citrus....has a mineral/metallic note....minor peel-bitter. Not bad, but a BIT off-style.

It certainly is golden, and clear, and gives my glass a nice 1 finger head of foam with good lacing..cellar temp.
I get a mild aroma or aromas of hops like in lemony. A bit of malt behind it; not much going on smell wise.
The taste is of slight lemon citrus and a rather unpleasant vegetal, rotting vegetal maltiness that besides that, gets really watery in the finish.
Good enough mouthfeel. This is pretty terrible overall. Glad I only picked up 1 can of it in my mixed 6er.
