Bottle, backlog April 2014. Deep reddish body under a small, dense off-white head. Strong malty aroma, dark malt and chocolate. Taste is sweet, dark malt, chocolate, some fruit, moderate bitterness and hint of caramel. Fine body and medium lasting aftertaste with more distinct chocolate. Slightly unbalanced, but decent enough.

33cl bottle from Jumbo supermarket in Stein, Netherlands. F: big, egg-white, good retention. C: orange gold, hazy. A: malty, light citrus, herbal touch, bit orange. T: medium malty base, light bready, tangerines, caramel touch, grapes, medium carbonation, ok for the style, enjoyed but still nothing memorable here.

330ml bottle. Clear, brown-ish, darkest ruby colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, sulphureous-beige to tan head. Rather weak, mellow, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, caramel. Taste is sweet and bitter, dark malty, slightly toasty, caramel malty, notes of malt lozenge, dark caramel, a touch of burnt caramel, bitter hoppy counterpart with cautious, unspecific fruity overtones; slightly dry finish. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying, simultaneously minimally dry palate, fine and soft carbonation. Balanced though not completely harmonious, relatively weak aroma, fantastic colour, drinkable - not bad.
