Gold, a few white bubbles cling to the rim. Smells of sweet apple juice, some cooked notes. Quite sweet with plenty of body for under 5%. Mainly sweet fleshy uncooked apples. A decent lick of acid underneath with some spices creeping up. The aroma is dull and it’s too sweet for me, but this is OK.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks funkwit for this bottle! Black with a brown head. Aroma of roast, coffee, some cocoa, ashy note, dark fruit note. Flavor is quite dry, with a light sweetish note, roasty, coffee, cocoa, ashy note, bitterish finish. Medium to full-bodied. Very good.

Taster at Australian Beer Festival. Slight fruity hop nose. Bronze beer with solid white head. No carbonation. Flat mouthfeel, oily texture. Nutty dry finish, this is a good beer.

It’s main distinction is that it’s the first Murray’s beer I haven’t liked. The aromas of malted milk, mocha and coffee are promising, but the aftertaste is dominated by an unpleasant astringency and even a slight metallic taste. There are flavours of chocolate, milk and coffee on the front of the palate but really nothing but that horrible aftertaste remains for me. Make it stop.

Varsin hiilihappoinen, kohtalaisen kevyt suutuntuma. Ihan ok, mutta ei mestariteos.

Bottle. Darkish brown with a beige head that settles to around an inch. Aroma of pine, grass, grapefruit, mild roast. Some blackcurrant? Sweet with molasses and mocha, as much pine but less fruit than suggested by the aroma. Lightish bodied but quite punchy for 5.6%. This is good and very drinkable but unlike Shawn’s Fault (is or was?) not very distinctive.
