Orange with a tall white head. Tropical, grassy, resinous hops and some sweet malt. Very flavorful and hoppy without being harsh nor juicy. The abv is well hidden. Would guzzle a sixer.

When in Big Sky country do as the Big Skyers do. Purchased as a 12 oz bottle at the Canyon Lodge store in Yellowstone. A pour into the finest quality plastic cup available delivers a dark brown body followed by a tall, brown egg colored foam. The nose gives up malt and straw. With a drink I get more of the malt, significant hoppiness and a roasted nuts finish. Decent but brown ales are way down on the list for me.

On tap at Denver Rare Beer Tasting 8. Pours a dark brown with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is dark chocolate, roast, bourbon, wood. Medium body, cocoa, oak, roast, bitter finish, boozy, very nice.

355ml bottle from Elizabeth Station. Vintage 2015. Pours a very dark brown woth a beige head. Aroma is sweet, liquorice, leather, dark fruits. Same taste with roasted malt aftertaste. This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a cloudy burnt yellow slightly gold color casting a subtle finger’s worth of white foamy head. Some messy lace.
The aroma had some peach/apricot sweetness up front with some lemon crisp pulpy sweetness and a sly amount of juice. Light grassiness at the end.
The flavor took the prior mentioned aromas and added in a little bit of piney hop bitterness. Dry sort of piney and peachy/apricot sort of aftertaste and finish.
The palate was the obvious (light bodied and sessionable). Carbonation felt fine and the ABV felt as projected.
Overall, well, my question to the brewer is why are they putting this out as a Winter seasonal? Who drinks session IPA’s in the Winter? Oh yeah, hey Frank \"get off my lawn.\" I’m supposed to say that for every session IPA I drink and rate on this website from now on.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a burnt light copper color with a finger’s worth of off white foamy head
that clung and glistened a little bit before gently dieing off to leave some sly
messy lace.
The aroma had some sweet grains, light floral bits, dried bubblegum, dried herbal qualities and some hay.
The flavor had a dried sweetness about it through the prior mentioned aromas. Subtle dried flroal/herbal/hay aftertaste
and finish.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine.
ABV felt as projected.
Overall, with so many saisons on the market these days, I don’t see a need to come back to this other than being grateful
to my West coast friend for sending this to me.
