Bottle at Craft Islington, thanks MannyG! It pours black with a thick dark tan head. The aromais rich, umami, dark chocolate, dark fruits, unctuous, cake, earth, fruit cake and millionaires shortbread. The taste is rich, bitter-sweet, slick, dark chocolate, ashy, charred action, dark fruit, warming alcohol boost and some astringency. Full body and moderate carbonation. A bit hot a charred for me, bit I can see why others like it.

Hazy golden coloured body with a tiny bit of an off-white head, about a centimetre tall. Aroma of resin, grapefruit, pine, light citrus and way more resin notes - strong and noticeable. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich hop flavours with a nice sweet flavour from fruit and grain with a little citrus flavour and a lot of resin and bitterness. Aftertaste shows some dryness, a little bit of grain and a lot of residual hop flavours in the way of resin, grapefruit, pine and perfumey notes. Overall, a decent Imperial IPA with some good bitterness, a solid backbone and some smooth flavours that don’t show too much funky or bitter flavours. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Cash Wise Liqour in Minot, North Dakota yesterday on 04-October-2016 for US$11,99/mixed six pack sampled in my hotel room a day later on 05-October-2016.

Aroma is dark roast, molasses, green apple, woody roast, liquorice. Flavour is composed of thick dark woody roast, dark liquorice, apple, harsh burnt rubber, dark roast. Palate is medium full, smooth, full, highish carbonation. Good. Hot alcohol.

Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Aroma suggests tropical fruits and somewhat bready caramel. Med body. Flavor is definitely tropical fruits, and the malt is minimal support. There’s a resin/pine aspect that seems to be generating a burn on the back tongue edges. The great thing here is the fruit. This is great stuff.

Bottle: Almost clear gold with a small white head. Wheat, lemon, grassy aroma. Taste is rather bland....wheat malt....the hop mixture seemed to imitate that of a conglomo-lager.....just amped up a bit.....not great.

What this beer is, is a honey beer. Nothing more, not much less. Two dimensional. Aroma and flavor are honey. Appearance is honey with some head. Ok body. Honey finish. End of story.

An American style IPA from Montana, my first beer from this brewery, depicting a pronghorn on its label - an unusual species of artiodactyl indigenous to the North American prairies. Thick ’membranous’ lacing, off-white, moussy head slowly dissolving in the middle, clear and warm orange blonde robe, almost amberish. Fragrant aroma of moldy grapefruit peel, spruce shoots, sweet paprika, hemp, red curry, dried mango, pink pepper, kumquat, biscuit, apple cake dough, freshly toasted white bread, yellow kiwi, passion fruit, lavender. Fruity but clean onset, refreshing, restrained but at the same time outspoken sweetness dominating with hints of mango, lychee and melon, medium carbo fit for the style, supple, lean mouthfeel. Some faint sourish redcurrant notes are quickly overcome by hoppiness, gradually and elegantly developing its bittering properties over a bridge of soft, sweet biscuity malts and ending very aromatic, with a wealth of retronasal pine, mango and sweet citrus aromas, and simultaneously providing a resinous, grapefruity, tangy bitterness drying the back of the mouth. Very typical modern day IPA in every respect, no game changer perhaps, but technically well done and delicate, tilted towards the sweet, tropical, aromatic side. Very enjoyable.
