Bottle. Deep brown in color. Has a cola look to it. Weak head. Taste is that of toasted grains, coffee and chocolate with just a wisp of candy corn. Aroma was burnt toast, slight chocolate and coffee.

This pours from 12oz bottle a clear amber-red with a 2 finger head of foam that shrinks to a fine but solid layer at the end of the session.
The smell has some caramel malt and a light fruit nose to it.
The taste has notes of caramel malt, some roasted malt, a faint hint of hops, and not much else. It finishes slightly bitter but more so on the watery side. I was hoping for better because I'm a pretty big fan of the Pale Ale but I've found HFs other offerings are pretty mediocre. Maybe the IPA will be to my liking....

This pours from 12oz bottle(part of variety 12 pack) a clear amber with a small but firm head of foam that shrinks to some islands by the end of the session.
The smell is of sweet malt and some fruit.
The taste has caramel malt, some roasted malt flavour, some fruitiness(cherry, citrus) and a slight alcohol flavour. Hmm..there's not much harmony going on with the flavours here and I'm finding it kind of difficult to take more sips. Nope. This one is not for me.

I got this one in the variety 12 pack.
It pours from 12oz bottle a clear light gold with a fairly large head of foam and it has some lacing.
The smell is kind of fruity, kind of malty.
The taste has a fairly malty flavour up front with some wheat flavour in the background but it's lightly done. There's also some roasted flavour but it too is lightly done. Over all, it's not a bad tasting brew by any means and it's pretty drinkable...it just doesn't come over as being a Hefe or even an American Wheat. Would I buy this again:
1) as part of the variety 12 pack? Yes. I'd drink the 2 bottles
2) as a stand alone 6 pack if I saw it? Probably not.

Poured from the bottle a good amber colour with a nice head that settled into a 1/4"layer that stayed for the entire session.
The taste is very malty/grainy with just a smidgeon of hops in the background and, another plus in my book is that the carbonation is not overly done. The bottle says "Full Flavor" and it certainly is that.
For me, this Pale worked and is very drinkable especially considering that I got the 6 pack for US$4.99. Great value for the money, imho.
