375ml can into pint glass. From BWS, Armidale. Amber beer, slight haze, streams of tiny bubbles. Large white frothy head. Light fruit cordial nose, a little caramel and pepper. Fizzy, light body. Aspirin bitter finish with moments of caramel and herbal hops. Nice IPA.

375ml can into glass. From random bottle shop near the Story Bridge, Brisbane. Ruby red beer with a foamy white head. Aromas of smoky malt, caramel and pepper. Full bodied, sweet, sticky and flat. Finish is more sweetness with balancing touches of bitter fruit. Not bad, very obvious alcohol is a drawback.

Can. Clear amber with an inch of white head that lasts OK. Aroma of tropical fruit, breadcrust, melon, pine that tames any concerns that it's going to be too much of a tropical fruit cup but perhaps makes it less vibrant. Moderately sweet with pine and breadcrust more than fruit to the fore before moderate bitterness. Clean and tidy beer but wanted more of a top note.

A pleasant IPA. The relatively bitter hops do give a hint of British, but apart from some nice caramel, it's lacking the classic British IPA malt profile, or maybe the malt is just overwhelmed by the hops.

Tulip on tap at Bine, QLD. Cloudy green/yellow cider with zero head and light carbonation. Nose is all peppery ginger. Sharp ginger, sharp carbonation. Finish reveals some apple. Refreshing, tart, great alternative to beer (Hey sometimes you need a change!).

Looks like grapefruit juice, smells like grapefruit juice, which is enjoyable. Taste lets it down though. A one dimensional, fairly bitter hop flavour. Hazy to look at, but not to drink. Can from Sense of Taste, Hamilton.
