Bottled. Pale golden with coarse head. Creamy maltiness, yet strikingly dry. Chewy and very soft with long grassy, biter finish. Excellently suitable for mass consumption in a shady biergarten.

Straw golden, low carbonation, low head. Tilts pretty much over to the malt side. Flat sticky mouthfeel, really needs the zing off bitterhops to be refreshing.

Re-rate from cask at Mahr, wasn't too pleased with bottled version - had a weird green banana note. Dough aroma. Dark golden, creamy head with lace. Big malt, yeasty and spicy flavor. Aromatic middle. Dry bitterhop finish. Fullbodied and nourisching.

Dark brown and somewhat murky. The aroma is slightly smoky, plummy and somewhat peanutty/nutty. Rich, deep fruitiness. Full maltiness. Big plum, cherry, peach fruitiness. Nice.

Take a neutral tasting weisse bock (some sweet malts, some zesty wheat flavors) and dissolve a couple of grape jolly ranchers into it, and you'll get this beer. The grape juice/candy flavors were intrusive and overbearing. Had to dump it.

Although somewhat variable (a sample at the Keller was full of diacetyl) this beer is best consumed at the brewery from the barrel. That is the source of these notes. Cloudy amber with a thick, falling head. The aroma isn’t much - a little husky and a touch yeasty. Full-bodied and slightly creamy. A malt-accented lager where sweet cookieish malts blend with creaminess and where subtley herbal hops mix with woody dryness. Super drinkable.
