Clear pale blond beer, no head. Aroma: little funky, sourish, quite some chlorine (which usually only appears in sours with fruit). MF: light to no carbon, medium body. Taste: little bitter, funky, watery, weird. Aftertaste: some tannins, dry, bit funky, watery finish. Pretty weak...

Clear pale blond beer, creamy small aery white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit fruity, spicy, bit dry, funky touch. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, lemon rind, some grapefruit, funky touch. Aftertaste: lemon rind, funky, very soft, nice but not very complex. Very curious about how an Ohio brewery exposes their wort to the wild yeast and bacteria (not bacterias) from the Senne Valley. Dumped a bottle of Cantillon and a bottle of 3F in their, I suppose, except I would've expected a better outcome then. :p

Bottle. Fizzy reddish cola pour with no head and a lot of large bubbles rising. Aromas are underwhelming and lack complexity. A hint of toffee and the slightest notion of tart cherry is all I get. Flavor is even worse. A bit of cola and some metallic sourness. I tried to choke this one down, but it found the drain after less than half a glass. Pretty awful stuff.

Bottle. Pours a dingy gold with a thin head and lots of fizz. Aromas are lightly sour with some breadiness. Flavor is crisply tart with a decent feel to it but a very slight metallic edge that reminds me of my own failed attempt at the style. This one is decent.. but not flawless.

This beer pours a clear orange-gold color with a medium thick fluffy white head that diminishes gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of tart citrus, spices and yeast. Medium body with flavors of tropical fruit, funky yeast, malt and subtle spiced gin. The finish is mildly tart with a fruity aftertaste. Above average overall.

NEW: Still really great stuf! OLD: Just thinking of this bottle made my mouth water. Smell is a little industrial. First impression is lots of co2 with a tart cutting edge. Perhaps not as refined as a rodenbach or something like that but it certainly is a tart beer fer sure. Yes, the roughness sets this stateside wannah bee apart form the old country but make no mistake, this is a sour beer and its quite an enjoyable change from the mundane ale.

2011 bottle. Hazy berry gold with a small white head. Funky/musty, tart lactic berry, and oak aroma. Tart lactic blackberry, musty funk, and vinous oaky flavor. Medium body, lively carbonation. I could drink a lot of this. It aged beautifully.

Tart, but yeasty, and otherwise not offering much excitement. Needs some depth to overcome the little bit of yeastiness. I find it a bit dark, too.

Sampled on draft at Vintage Estate this beer poured a yellow-gold color with a medium sized foamy white head that left no lacing. The aroma was citrus, a bit farther and lemonade. The flavor was bitter and tart with faint citrus and lemonade. Medium lenght finish. Light body. Meh.
