Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of SecretSanta himself. Pours a clear deep amber with an off-white head. Aroma of oxidized caramel and malts. Medium body only, caramel and fruit and quite some good American hops that leave a decent bitterness. Nothing fancy here but a very classic American style Barley Wine. 100410

12 oz. bottle, pours black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, espresso and chocolate. Flavour of rich, sweet chocolate upfront, with caramel notes.

12 oz. bottle, pours a hazy dark golden with a small white head. Fairly mild grassy hops aroma and flavour. Refreshing IPA, but nothing special here.

This beer pours a dark brown/black with a medium thick and foamy tan head that recedes steadily. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Roasted malt and chocolate in the nose. Medium body with flavors of toasted malt, chocolate and coffee. The finish is malty with a mild hops and coffee aftertaste. Decent overall, glad this is the beer that introduced me to Dick’s.

courtesy of goodzoid10 pours dark brown, light mocha head. aroma of sweet dark fruit like nose, light roast, medium chocolate bitterness. flavor, 2nd Dick’s beer that appears to be slightly under expectations, keeps a lactic like palate, some roasted malts, dark fruits; currants, caramel. Medium carbonation with a lingering fruit sourness that I got in the previous Dick’s, light bitter chocolate with roast finish. There is something off with the few beers I’ve had from them.

courtesy of googzoid10 pours brown, thick lasting beige head. aroma, strong floral hop aroma, some dark fruit/berry like, lactic/moldy nose with some light malt and coffee roast.. flavor, sweet and mild malt with a touch of tartness of dark fruits, wheat, lots of hops and light caramel. Some bitter chocolate with citrus like elements covering the mouthfeel and light roast/coffee finish. Just could not get into this beer, some of the flavors seemed a little off.

25th October 2008. Hazy brown beer. Sweet slightly spicy dry stout. A little fruit in the mid but lots of candy dries it out. Distinct toffee undertone and a dry fruit saccharine finish.

Aroma: Mild aroma with sweet malts and caramel
Taste: Toasted malts and bitter hops
An OK beer, easy drinkability.

Bottle: Faded copper color with a thin sandy head. Not much going on in the nose, mostly sweet and malty. Tastes sweet with earthy and floral bits. There is a little dry note and finishes into the rye portion of the flavor. Lingering bitters are dry, floral, and grassey. Interesting combination.

Deep brown with minimal head. Light roasted malts, some molasses, chocolate, some berries in the aroma. Mouth is a bit thin and watery. Flavor has some light roasted notes, a bit malty, light chocolate, with a lightly sour finish. Decent, but the flavor doesn’t live up to the aroma.
