Can thanks to Bob! Pours a clear yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of earthy grass and earthy grain with a bit of corn underlying. Flavor has earthy grass and light grain with a touch of leaves.

12 oz can from a six pack bought at Super 1 in Rathdrum, ID. Canned on 9/17/14...dang, a little old. Aroma is doughy, mild citrus, floral, soap; caramel malt comes out after it sits a few minutes. Pours hazy orange-golden with a medium white head that falls after a minute. Flavor is sweet malt, very little bitterness. Highly carbonated, medium body. Very plain and boring, like most Seattle Seahawks fans (just kidding, nearly everyone I know!). I wish I would have gotten this fresher, but I somehow don’t think that would improve the scores all that much. I’ve given most of these scores the benefit of the doubt, guessing that they would improve with freshness, but who knows.

Nice deep dark brownish coloured body with a large, fast-dying light brown coloured head with larger bubbles and a glow of cola colours when held up to a light. Aroma of alcohol, raisins, pit fruits, chocolate, yeast and a bit of prunes - strong, but more of a porter or sweet stout than of an imperial stout. Medium-bodied; Strong alcohol and vanilla flavours with hints of oak and coffee, but a lot of earthy and mushroomy flavours with touches of chocolate and prunes. Aftertaste is fairly one dimensional and not too pungent - malty and chocolate flavours come out the strongest with a touch of alcohol on the finish. Overall, a decent baltic porter or stout, but not cutting it for the style. That said, it’s still a drinkable beer - just don’t expect it to be quite the imperial stout that you imagine, especially at 7,5% abv. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 12-April-2013 for US$2,59 sampled at home in Washington on 01-November-2014, about a year and half after purchasing it, which perhaps mellowed it out a bit, but this one wasn’t strong anyways.

Bottle from BevX360, Bellingham
Hazy amber color with generous head. This is a semi-dry and lean bodied Amber Ale, with forgettable aroma, some caramel flavor, ordinary bitterness and very little hop quality. Not an IPA; still drinkable.

Draught at Mukilteo Lodge
Brown color. It’s a bit malty, caramelly, bready, also some oxidization note; low bitterness.
The style is boring, but the beer is clean.

Bottle: Poured a dark almost black brown a finger high tan head. Aroma is light hops. Taste is a mix of hops, grain and dark malts, not overpower but works well.

22 oz bottle. Pours burnt orange with a dark fruit aroma. Sweet red raspberries up front. A little overpowering on the sweetness. Well hidden alcohol. Not a bad beer, just too sweet.

I poured this into a pint glass.
The appearance is a nice looking hazy golden orange color with a decent transparency to it. Carbonation is seen rising at a moderate pace. There is a small white foamy one finger lumpy looking head that ends up dissipating within about less than thirty seconds. There is some light foamy lacing that slides slowly.
The smell is kinda floral yet cracker-like combining and showing enough APA characteristics.
The taste tries to show some bitterness but the cracker-likeness slightly overpowers and makes this one fairly easy to go down. There is no aftertaste but it does have a quick dry finish.
On the palate, this one sits about a light to medium in body. There is a decent sessionable quality to it. The carbonation finishes fairly smooth for an APA, but hey honestly, I’m not really complaining, could be the time of the year as well where I’m finding some good Spring-like qualities to this brew.
Overall, I understand this is a beer for Seattle Seahawks’ fans for football season. Perhaps one that would be better in the earlier part of the season when the weather is a bit more warmer. I wouldn’t be taking this into the playoffs, but then again, it doesn’t get that cold in Seattle anyways.

Bottle. Pours a dark orange with no head. Sweet malt aroma. Flavor has toast, and some caramel. Finishes doughy. Nothing really stands out about this beer, but it’s very much drinkable. Not bad.

Rich deep amber coloured body with a light brown glow and a thick, three centimetre tall very soapy and broad bubbled tan head - ugly. Aroma of nuts, earth, copper, metal, water and some light soap - not too pleasant. Light to Medium-bodied; Good malty flavour with some earth and nuts up front fading to an apple, pear, figs, raisins and a little light hoppy flavour. Aftertaste shows mostly fruits with a big malty touch and a light caramel and toffee sweetness at the very end. Overall, a decent beer with some confusing flavours and a good sweetness, but a beer to try if you really like the style, otherwise, a decent offering. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 04-October-2013 for US$1.85 sampled at home in Upstate, New Paltz, New York on 10-May-2014.
