On tap at the brewpub. Clear, dark red in color, some white bubbles around the rim. The aroma is lightly flowery, with raspberry and some sweetener, guess that’s the honey. There’s chili too. At first there’s no chili burn, but after a few seconds it creeps up on you, staying for a while. Raspberry, sweetness and some chili in the flavor. Full body, some warmth and carbonation. Nice, like the spiced touch. Can’t see a use for this with food, but as a drink of its own it’s nice. 130813

On tap at the brewpub. A clear dark amber beer with a light beige head. Lots of tropical fruits on the nose, little of what you normally expect from a doppelbock. The flavor has some malty sweetness, a nice bitterness a some tropical fruits but way too little maltyness. Medium body, soft carbonation. All in all, not much of a doppelbock, but it drinks easy. 130813

On tap at the brewpub. Lightly unclear, dark amber in color, with a beige head. Light roasted caramel aroma with a touch of tropical fruits. Caramel and lightly roasted malts in the flavor, a hint of bitterness too. Soft and full bodied. Caramel and a roasted touch in the end. Oak and vanilla hints too. A quite pleasant one. 130813

On tap at the brewpub. An almost black one, topped by a beige head. Vanilla, chocolate and coffee blends nicely in the aroma. Soft, almost flat on the palate, medium to full body. Chocolate, vanilla and some coffee in th flavor, a little roasted touch too. A bit short finish. Lacks some carbonation, else a really nice vanilla beer. 130813
