This was listed as Colomba White. Had this at the Pittsburgh Great European Beer Festival at the Sharp Edge Beer Emporium 6/2010. Such a nice beer friendly place! Green bottle. Cloudy pale yellow. Some smells of hay in there. Easy on the nose! Nice easy fruity flavor and perhaps a tad of strawberry in there, just barely. Good affable finish. Some dull palate bit overall a like-able beer. For a lager lover like myself.

Bottle (from bierzwerg.de). Reddish amber colour with a mediumsized fluffy slightly off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some mild cooked vegetables, some mild nuttyness as well as a bit grassy. Flavour is sweet malts, some nuttyness as well as some slight grassy and herbal notes.

Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is ver faint probably just a bit of grain and a small does of corriander. Flavor is a little better with more of an wit beer to it. Some citrus and grain show up. Still this is a really bland beer nd nothing like the style should be.

Initial smell of bad body odour eventually reveals layers of malts over grains, but still some notes of unshowered people remain. Look is okay, head disappears fast though. The taste is quite unique - it’s a spicy concoction that is unlike anything I’ve tried over the past 339 beers. That’s a good thing, but do I like it? Not quite - it’s a strong flavour that’s a bit like old shoe leather cooked in worcestershire sauce, and it leaves a harsh taste on the palate. Overall this is one worth trying as it’s a different taste than any other beer you’ll try, but the caveat is that you likely won’t like it.

11.2 oz bottle. Aroma of...macro crap? Seriously, this smells about as appetizing as Budweiser. Hazy yellow in appearance with a medium dissipating head, great lacing. There’s something about the hue here that isn’t appealing to me at all. Too pale yellow--like urine and milk mixed together (one of my favorite drinks, by the way). Tastes old--like long expired soda water (if soda water could go expired, that is). Too much carbonation. Watery. Terrible. Weird. Yucky. Tastes like no other witbier I’ve ever had. The French should stick to what they do best--making wine.

29/11 0.33 l bottle bought and shared with Doggythedog, as most of the beers rated lately. It poured slightly darken golden body with medium sized head. Weaker aroma that is slightly yeasty, caramelly with hints of dried meat - smoked malt. Chestnut is evident in its flavor, slightly sweetish and notes of smoked malt again. It’s quite good brew, but nothing too special, as it’s relatively watery with shorter, sweetish chestnut finish.

Re-rate 6/5/11: Bottle at a tasting. Thanks mom for bringing me this bottle. Hazy yellow with a white head. Spicy aroma with wheat, fruits and some acidity. Sweetish-sourish flavor with some graininess, spices and some fruitiness. Light-bodied. 6/3/5/2/11=2.7
Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks mom. Cloudy yellow color. Sourish aroma with wheat, citrus, yeast and vegetables. Sweetish and slightly spicy flavor with fruits, weird spicy veggies, over-yeasty bread and light cheesy notes. 5/3/4/2/8=2.2

Bottle found somewhere in France with heavy, with whom I’ve shared it yesterday (read: a few hours ago) Poured a slightly darker golden body with a small white head that went away at a medium pace. The nose is odd, dried meat I guess. The taste, odd again, sweetish and kinda smoky taste with strong notes of dried meat (or fish even), light notes of chestnuts maybe. Nice in a way and definitely original.
