At a tasting, thanks DSG, small but lasting head, murky and looking almost solid lemony yellow, skunky nose, a little sulphur at first, than notes of yeast, cheese and light flowery, flavours of soap and unripe fruits. something quite bad a bout this beer.

Bottle, Wasdale Head Inn, Lake DIstrict. Cloudy straw colour with minimal white head. Aroma was better than the flavour and was pleasntly fragrant with some spice and fruit lurking. Taste was a let down somewhat, some vague citrus there but really not much else. Maybe it would taste better sitting on a corsican beach, but I doubt it...

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks mom for this bottle! Amber-colored. Aroma of toasted malt, some caramel and chestnut notes. Semi-dry flavor with some caramel, nuts, and herbal and metal notes in the bitter finish. Medium-bodied. I love chestnuts, and I was hoping to have more of them in the aroma and flavor. Nonetheless, it’s still an OK beer.

At a tasting thanks, DSG, small but thickish head, colour is somewhere between dark golden and and very light amber, aromas of nut. wood and a whiff of smoke. Flavour is quite bland and alcoholic and some coarse bitterness with a hint of chestnut creeping in the back. Fair but not very exciting.

Golden yellow, slightly orangish tint. Very cloudy. Small but tasting-looking fine white head. A very summery, refreshing looking beer. Definitely makes one think of Corsica. Very strong aroma of wheat malt, yeast, citrus, and herbs. You can definitely catch the herbs in there, but I am not used to whatever they are. Very lemony and a bit sweet smelling as well. Almost a bit like ginger. Head fades fast. Flavor is not as sweet as the aroma, but still a touch too sweet for me. Good malt, strong presence of herbs. They are nice, but maybe a bit overdone. Lemony, floral finish that is almost more like a lemonade cocktail than a beer. There is a subtle hop background, more than in most white beers, but still not quite enough to handle the herbs. A nice summer beer when drank ice cold, I suppose. It is interesting, but a bit soda-like and a little overdone.

Sampled at New Beer Distributors in NYC. Poured a warm amber hue with an easygoing white head. Smelled malty. At first tasted sweet with strong notes of roasted malts and caramel, then gave way to a mild smoky taste. Interesting and pretty good.
