pours amber with thick white head. Aroma is malty with light caramel and chestnut pwder. Taste, malty / light caramel followed by some spices and light chestnuts. Found the beer to have a pilsener like after taste that just wasn’t appealing.

Bought at a marketin Belgium. Interesting bottle out of the island of Corsica. Not sure why the beer seems so badly rated, or there seems to be bottling issues or it is not making it to the US in good condition. Pours golden straw with white head. Aroma is yeasty with some orange peel, herbal with notes of chamomille. Taste; yeasty, some light citrus hops, agrumes and wheat with a light dry peppery palate. Bottle indicates that it is using herbs found in Corsica, and I am getting a lot of sweetness from possible chamomile and other local spices. Found the beer to be very refreshing.

10oz, 3 Philosophers goblet glass pour at d.b.a Manhattan. Color is cloudy straw. Aroma is coriander and thin banana esters, its earthy and herbal but very watery on the nose. Taste has a bit more maltiness behind it, more heft, and a bit of sweetness. This beefs up the flavor so it does not come off as watery as the nose would have you believe. The finish is bitter coriander. Its very light but not too impressive, damn French beer.
