12.7 oz bottle. Aroma is coconut, vanilla, whiskey, toasted marshmallow, cashew brittle. Pours dark brown with a one finger beige head with good retention. Taste is bittersweet and roasty with barrel-aged, toasted, chocolaty flavors.

12.7 oz bottle. Looks like the best by date was 8 months ago. Doh! Aroma is caramelly, dark fruit, vanilla, milk chocolate. Pours dark brown with a half finger beige head that settles into a ring after a minute. Taste is moderately sweet with flavors like the aroma. Tastes fine 8 months after the BB. I wonder if it was any better when it was fresher.

(Can) Reddish purple colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of black-currant, blueberries, raspberries and citrus. Fruity, tart taste with black-currant, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, blood-orange and a dry and tart finish. No bitterness. Light body, dry. Tart and refreshing, with a good berry character. Very nice.

Approximately 10 oz draft pour at Boulevard Brewing Co. Tours & Recreation Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is clear reddish amber, orange, brown with a small foamy off white head. The aroma is big wood right away, very much fresh oak, song with floral, spice and some general caramel malt. The taste is the wood up front, followed by the floral, Saison yeast and general maltiness. Not terribly integrated or subtle. The palate is medium bodied, low carbonation and lingering, mouth drying oak wood.

16 ounce Nitro can into a British Royal pint glass. Barely translucent dark brown pour. Finger-high creamy tan head. Roasty malt aroma has earthy notes. Soft mocha notes on first quaffe. Smooth and creamy. Hints of coffee and bittersweet chocolate on palate. Very drinkable. Lovely!

16 oz can. Aroma is caramel, butterscotch, whiskey, wet stone, nuts. Pours black with a half finger beige head that reduces to a ring fairly quickly (I didn’t notice the directions for pouring until after I cracked it open). Taste is sweet with flavors of Irish cream and whiskey. Carbonation is soft. Not a fan of nitro beers.

16 oz Willebecher draft at Boulevard Brewing Co. Tours & Recreation Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a clear golden with a thick white head that leaves behind pretty lace. The aroma is bright cracker, cereal malt and herbal noble hop. The taste is fresh and bright crisp clean malt, and slightly muted version of a a typical hoppiness of an Italian Pils. The palate is light bodied, active carbonation and a crisp mineral finish. Solid.
