A golden ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light pumpkin spices, light cloves, pleasant and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light Brett, light pumpkin spices, light cloves, pleasant and smooth. Surprisingly good for a close to 10 year old beer.

Bottle (enjoy by 9/10/28) from Valley Beverage, Sherman Oaks. Cloudy, maple syrup brown, nice sparkle, ring of head, trace lacing. Aroma is strong bourbon over caramel, vanilla, brown sugar, hint maple syrup. Taste is as aroma. Smooth texture, thin body, soft carbonation, finish as taste with late esophageal heat. Evokes pecan pie but without any nuts. Nice complexity but bourbon is a bit heavy-handed, especially for a pecan pie where it should be fairly subtle. Also, a bit sweet (even for a pecan pie). It's been forever and a day since I had my last Boulevard. As usual, a lot of good elements but something is always there that could use some improvement.

12 oz bottle. Aroma is chocolaty, woody, red wine, grape juice, toffee. Pours opaque purplish-dark brown with a thin beige head that settles into a ring fairly quickly. Taste is bittersweet with chocolaty, boozy, caramel-tinged flavors. The red wine barrel comes through a bit stronger than the whiskey, but they’re both very much there. Some oxidation and soy sauce notes that don’t distract too much.

Bought locally, enjoy by October 9th 2028.

Pours reddish brown with a small head of foam, retention and lacing are fine.

Smell is sweet and tart cherries, bit of apple, not much barrel character.

Taste is sweet and tart cherries, apple, candi sugar, light wood, plenty of alcohol. I get a very small hint of cough syrup from this but it's not intrusive.

Medium bodied, I would drink this again but not often.

12.7 oz corked and caged bottle. Aroma has notes of dark fruit, wood, maple, funk, oxidation. Pours muddy brown with a giant beige pillowy head that takes its time receding. Taste is moderately sour (6/10) and quite bitter , especially for style. Flavors of plum, dark cherry, wood, cocoa, caramel, herbal hops, grapefruit pith. Foamy mouthfeel.

Bottle, 2025 vintage. Tart strawberry aroma with notes of red wine, vanilla, lacto and oak. Pours reddish-amber colored with half a finger of off white head that has good retention and decent lacing. Starts with red wine, vanilla and lacto flavors as well as having a lovely mouthfeel. Finishes dry and tart with strawberry and oak flavors. Decent sour.
