A very short-lived cola-like tan head on a near black body. Chocolate, whiskey, coffee, berries and some vinous fruit on the nose. The dates and plums rise up in the taste profile to balance the chocolate and booze. Slightly vinous note adds to the bend. Some cherry and dark berry notes as well.

A super new age quad. A dense redish mahogany body with an active off white head. The nose is engaging, with toffee, cherries, dark berries and a touch of citrus hops. Sweet, easy drinking bourbon leads the taste profile. Not harsh at all. Rich toffee, biscuit malt, candied fruit, cherries and a touch of citrus hops create a rich smooth but still lively blend. A hint of sourness and yeast add to the complexity. Barrel aging that is not overdone. Good one.

Quite a unique strong ale. A lively off white head on a semi-opaque deep mahogany body. The nose has medium plus prominence, featuring rye grain, rye whiskey and caramel malt. The taste emphasizes spicy rye grain along with the whiskey, oak, vanilla, a solid touch of citrus hops and a hint of mint. The caramel malt is there but less strong than most strong ales. Not too slick or sticky, especially considering the high ABV.

bottle found in the fridge in the bar next to loom, "the best" las palmas.
Awesome saison aroma, hay, grass, yeast, flowers, spices, perfectly balanced, might be the best saison aroma i ever tried.
Flavor is very very dry, lots of yeasty notes, bretty notes, dough, low on flowers and spices, very bretty, very yeast-forward.
for me, a bit too bretty and yeasty - but seriously well done , very smooth.

10 year old bottle at DC Beer August Share. Poured a deep black with ruby highlights. Flavor was rich cherry with white chocolate sweetness and a soft tart edge. A well-aged stout that remains bold and decadent.
