355mL bottle. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Light brown sugars, some dark malts, and boozy sugars on the nose. Flavour has tons of boozy sugars, very rough, splintered wood. This is just rough and uncoordinated. Not good.

From Liquor Shed, part of a mixed 6pack, bottled February 8th.
It pours a lovely clear crimson red with a finger of foam. Retention and lacing are first class.
The smell is caramel malt, big woody notes, alcohol, and the barrel, which seems to be the same aroma as the other 2 beers in the 6pack.
The taste is sweet caramel, wood, leather (yuck), booze, oh my. I reiterate that the BAging is so similar to the other 2 beers and I find it quite unacceptable to my palate.
Mouthfeel is fine, I would never drink this again.

Bought locally, bottled January 14th 2026.
It pours very dark brown with hues of red an inch of tan foam, very good retention and lacing.
The smell is sweet malt, wood, hint of chocolate, a bit of leather.
The taste is not as sweet as the smell, woody notes, leather, some vinous notes which I don't care for, and some alcohol.
Mouthfeel starts out but finishes on the thin side.
I have another bottle and that will be the last for me of this brew.

Black with a medium sized fluffy tan head that faded quickly. Strong wood and red wine followed by perfume, cedar and floral hops. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

Bottle, 2025 vintage. Vanilla aroma with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, oak and bourbon. Pours deep brown with a thin mocha brown head that has some retention and very little lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt, chocolate and oak flavors as well as having a rich, full body and silky smooth mouthfeel. Finishes quite smooth with vanilla and bourbon flavors as well as a good warming booziness at the end. Goes hard on the vanilla and I’m not mad about it.

Bottle - light hazy dark amber - my pour does not kick up a head - nose is cherry, brandy, plum, treacle, brown sugar, moderate Belgian yeast phenols - presents as a straight up quad on the approach, lightly spicy - brandy and cherries through the middle and finish - down spice and basement Belgian yeast return for the finish (little Westmalle yeast character) - a little hot in the finish - it’s not super balanced, but it is good.

A golden ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light pumpkin spices, light cloves, pleasant and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light Brett, light pumpkin spices, light cloves, pleasant and smooth. Surprisingly good for a close to 10 year old beer.
