Draft. Clear light amber with a nice white head. Spicey citrus hop aroma. Spicy hop flavor with some floral bits. Some malt backing. Easy to drhink. Crisp and clean.

Thanks to csbosox for this one! Pale straw gold with a frothy white head that left disappointly fast for a wheat beer. Pineapple/lemon aroma with a well balanced flavor. The palate was filling and rich, with a good smoothness to it.

Thanks to csbosox for this one! Large white head over a sparkling clear amber body. Aroma is balanced between light malt and hops as is the flavor. Slightly malty finish with a light, but not quite watery palate.

Bottle Pours a cloudy dark orange amber. Large cramy off-white head and thick sticky lacing. Sweet fruity aroma. Apples, pears, peaches maybe. Not much hops evident here. Flavors are less sweet and more pale malts. Some bitterness with the soft mellow hops. Feel is smooth and rather heavy for the style. Quite soft carbonation. Slightly dry bitter aftertaste.

Bottle Pours a cloudy light ridish brown with a large very fine creamy light tan head. PLenty of smooth heavy lacing. Lots of pitted fruit notes in the aroma. Reminds me of a light barleywine. Flavorsa are woody, molassas, and spices like cinnimon and maybe a little cloves. Fairly strond bitter hops and a dry woody aftertaste. INtersting, robust, a bit heavy and tasty. I still think it reminds me of a light or more drinkable BW

2004 bottle from heemer77. Ahhh, nothing like a good dry stout. A nice bottled condtioned version, no nitro, no watered down roast, no fake layered pour. Anyways, it smells pleasantly roasty and fruity, with chocolate, mint and licorice. Some very faint and dry yeast notes as well. Very even, smooth and dry on the palate, but importantly, not a watery mess. Chocolate lingers lightly in the background and does not seem forced. Would probably drink this stuff daily if I could. Nothing pretentious about this beer.

2004 bottle compliments of csbosox! Thick, hazy, banana yellow pour with a small white head. Smells musty/dusty and lightly sweaty, but has notes of lemon, sour yeast and dry wheat tones. Very dry, lightly sour nose overall that does not hint at much to come. Fortunately, the flavor is much better than the nose would suggest, showcasing a wonderfully smooth, lightly bubbly mouthfeel, a medium-light body and little to no wateriness. Light honey and almonds, smooth grainy wheat tones, lemon-like hops flavors and a nutty, yeasty finish. It has been a while since I’ve enjoyed an American Wheat (gumbalhead being the last) and this was a pleasant surprise. Nothing hugely complex or stunningly flavorful, but well-done for what it is.

2004 bottle. Thanks to Chris (csbosox). Pale yellow-copper color with a moderate amount of white head. Aroma of soily, dirty hops, very lightly bitter. Nothing fruity or citric here. Strange, like you can smell the california ale yeast. Flavor starts out nutty and only lightly bitter. Touches of pale malt, no sweetness whatsoever. It’s not bad, and certainly has a good yeast presence. But it never really breaks in to the pale ale style. As much as I don’t care for hops, this one dosent even get me interested. No hops really, just a dry nutty, light caramel malt presence. A bit of toasted malt and a clean, dry finish. Strange beer.

2004 bottle compliments of Chris (csbosox) thanks for the amazing trade. Look forward to another! Pours a dark brown with some deep auburn/mahogany highlights. Good creamy head, tan and lasting. Aroma of lightly nutty hops and brown malts, with some light yeast accents and a mild creamy butter aroma. Flavor is very restrained and mild, with an easygoing english chocolate and toffee mixed well with light hopping. Overall, a dry, moderately roasty porter, with a smooth, lightly creamy body. The flavor is a bit too restrained for my liking, but the bottle conditioning and sediment in the bottom provide a full experience. It dosent seem lacking in the yeast department, just needs more malt. Easy to drink.
2004 bottle from heemer77! Hmm, well wasnt as enamoured this time around (2 weeks later, hah). Still a good mouthfeel and good yeast presence, but less malt than I’d like. They could definitely add some better English hops. Maybe it’s just because I had it recently, but the hops presence in Freeminer Deep Shaft (fuggles) would be awesome in this. Nice smoke and deep green fruitiness would be perfect.
