At the Address Hotel, Neos Nat on the 63rd Floor, Bottle over looking the Buij Khalifa, Dubai, Worlds tallest building I believe, 15th January 2020. Beer is clear and amber straw colour. Aroma is citrus, taste is clean and easy drinking. Floral, orange, well balanced, not bad, especially with this view.

From a 640ml bottle on 22/12//2019 (shared with Butz). Pours a clear deep golden with a smallish head. Has a reasonably strong herbal piney hop aroma. It's not a typical double flavour wise - it's really grassy and herbal, with some caramel malt, lemon and Vietnamese mint. Pine and resin hold sawyn hop wise. Dank yes, with a slightly syrupy mouthfeel, and moderate carbonation. The Swamp Thang is an odd beast - it works on some levels but not others. Worth a try, but doesn't quite bring it home for mine.

Bottle. Vermont ale yeast or no, it's clear amber with a white head that fades to a 1/2cm. Aroma of kumquat, stinky mango skin, some other tropical fruit (passionfruit, guava). More brooding tropical notes than dope. Fairly full body, lowish carbonation. Quite sweet with some bread crust under loads of tropical fruit. Bitterness takes a little while to cut through but is strong and a bit resinous and peppery. Very good, just a tad sweet for me.

Bottle, 13C. Black with a tan head that's soon at the rim. Aroma of cardamon, strap licorice, as much coffee as tea. Somewhat smooth texture but doesn't really suggest chai with that lovely Indian milk softness. The hard spices sit on top of the quite chocolatey stout and the chili and maybe some ginger murmur up through it. A little bitterness at the end too. A little drying floral note - is that the tea itself? Alcohol is completely hidden. Good, clever, different.

Bottle. Deep reddish amber with a beige head that gradually fades to a coat. Mildly funky biscuity aroma with ginger, oranges, cassia bark. Not as sweet as expected and fairly light bodied with a smooth texture and moderate carbonation. 3+ A little biscuit and toast, some funky spiciness that might be yeast or additions (the additions still stick out a little much for me). Dryish at the end with moderate yet decisive bitterness. Not bad with a pleasant texture and a nice finish.

On tap. Deep black. Spicy nose (cardamon and cinnamon). Lovely combo of that spiciness with a mild kick of chili. Very impressive collab that is Mountain Goat's best effort of the year for mine.

Best before 290119. A hoppy blonde al, good use of southern hops adding fruityness. Light, hoppy and bitter. Something melony in the flavour, and lots of citrus. Mandarin?
