Shorter stubby bottle. First taste is almost friendly fruity candy, with a bitter bite. Yes, somebody accidentally left the peels on these green unripened citrus fruits. Nice and hazy on pale is the eye. In the middle it starts to get unruly and sweet as well as perfumy, a little cloying. Yes, coconut and pineapple does not help here. Yes, this is what seems to be an aged IPA turned into a fruity. Rude ass finish, fer sher. In the end it almost wants to be one of those holiday spiced beers. Did not enjoy, just a tick. Tropical its not.

Earthy, cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate malt and hay aroma. Dark brown with small head. Moderately sweet lightly spiced chocolate malt, and mildy bitter dry hay flavor. Okay body.

Bottle @Højbjerg Tasting. Clear golden, thick white head. Citrus, lemon, grapefruit aroma, slightly soapy. Hoppy, citrusy flavour. Light pine.

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are nice bitter hops, fruits, flowers, malt and has a nice long bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy gold color with a white head and good retention. No real lacing. Wheat aroma. Strong, bright (from the pilsner malt?) wheat base beer with a light citrus background flavor in the finish. Medium body and a long finish. An interesting mix, but not better.

Exactly what it says it is, for better or worse. As a holiday stout, you get all the normal winter warmer-esque spicing, although the nutmeg here is aggressive, to say the least. Bittersweet chocolate, cinnamon, and caramel all add to a cola-ish middle, while the finish dries out nicely with a mildly pine-dusted bitterness. But the nutmeg...gets a tad too boisterous as the pint warms, leaving me a bit torn as to rating; the beer does what it's supposed to do, but I'm not a fan of what it's doing, so...3.5 seems right.
