Overripe lemon, gym socks, melon rind aroma. Cloudy golden, thin head. Lemon, bubble gum. Light body, moderate carbonation.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall lighter brown head that fades relatively quickly. Aroma of caramel, robust roasted malts, coffee, earth, grain, peated malt and a dose of shoe polish - quite strong in the nose. Medium-bodied; Assertive bitterness from the roasted malt with a lot of peaty flavours at first then showing some grain, mellow oatmeal and caster sugar, but much more of the pungent and bittering flavours than anything else, even with some minimal sugars throughout. Aftertaste shows some bitter grain, a dose of coffee and caramelised sugars with a lot of nuts and earth with some light brine from oysters and perhaps a touch of salt, but this is fairly mild and the body is quite thin, especially if oysters were used. Overall, a decent enough beer that has some good flavours, but some rough edges, coupled with the more pungent flavours without a nice complexity or depth makes this decent and drinkable, but not worth trying to find or saving for any long periods of time - it's already thin and will lose body over time of course. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 31-January-2018 for US$1,79 sampled at home in Washington on 03-August-2018.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 8/29/2018. Pours very hazy deep golden amber/light orane color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is a great NE APA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Amazingly soft feel. Loved the Citra, Cascade, Ekuanot showcase as expected. Extremely juicy hops; with perfect wheat/oat/malt balance. Not overly sweet/heavy. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. Really impressive for their first NE style.

Surprise tap at bowsers. A hint of bright yellow and clear. Very faint watermelon nose. Taste of course is decent shandy and very slight taste of watermelon. Thank you, finally a stupid ass watermelon beer that is not over the top in watermelon taste effects, artificial or not. Well balanced. A littl watery in the middle. Alky is well hidden. Not bad, a little dull on the finish. Coulde down a 4pack of these.

$1/75 bottle from Parkhurst Wine Shop @ Rainbow Hill. No freshness date on this one but have had issues from this shop in the past. Pours hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma is sweet citrus, floral hops, cracker, dull malt. Flavor is dull malt, grasses, light floral hops, baked beans, envelope glue.

$2.40 bottle from Parkhurst Wine Shop at Rainbow Hill. The bottle is old - didn't notice that when I picked it up. Best by 4/23/17, I'm drinking it 7/15/18. Oh well. Pours golden with lots of floaters. Aroma is sweet candied orange, light toast. Flavor is slightly candied orange, grasses, chalk or maybe not chalk - dusty? no more chalky. That's about it. Not impressed; even if this is an old bottle, I can't imagine there was much more going on a year ago. Editing to add: the further into this I get, the less I like it. Dropping taste a point and overall by 2.

12oz can. Foamy white head on top of a hazy, thick orange-tan body. More of a classic IPA taste with Cascade leading the way. On the fuller side of medium bodied. A little rindy..not so juicy or tropical. OK.

You want cucumber water or strawberry water? How about strawberry apple pie? Buttery weird but also baked?

355ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Floral and grainy aroma, hints of rice, basmati, petals, doughy yeasty background. Taste is minimally bitter hoppy, slightly grainy, minimally floral, bready-spicy and doughy yeasty; super-soft, creamy palate.
