Bottle. Color: Clear copper, yellow-ish off-white head. Aroma: Malty, caramel hints. Taate: Malty and hoppy well balanced. Notes of bread, hints of bittery citrus fruit. Moderate to over moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body, just under average carbonation. Nice one.

Bottle. Color: Clear golden, white head. Aroma: Malt. Taste: Sweetish, very malty, combined with nice moderate hopbitterness. Over moderate sweet. Spicy yeast notes. Lightly boozy. Light fruity hints of yellow fruit. Quite smooth mouthfeel. Somewhat more hopbitterness at finish. Seems quite simple at first, but takes some time and attention to explore the full complexity of this North France beer style.

Bottle, 75 cl with the caracteristic Saint Sylvestre cork with the 'hook' over it. Color: Clear golden, white head. Aroma: Grassy hop, subtle spicy Saison yeast. Taste: Moderate sweet, malty, bread, combined with spicy notes, white pepper hints and moderate grassy hopbitterness, going to over moderate bitterness at the finish. Not that special but in one way or another I like this beer from this traditional family brewery in the north of France. Craftsmanship...

Huge thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass brownish, small head. Intense malty alcoholic aroma. Starts intense malty, dry, more and more warming alcoholic. Some light fruity notes as well. Finish well balanced, warming malty-alcoholic. Not bad!

75cl bottle shared with Eric in Eecke during the famous lockdown of 2020. Pours a nice glowing mahogany, off-white head. Fairly rich nose, toffee, varnish, wood. Taste has prominent toffee, sweet malt, toasted malt.. almost coming across like a rich German doppelbock. Pretty decent overall.
