Presumably a tweaked Oaty McOatface. Bottle (Otter’s Promise). 10C. Barely hazy gold with a modest white head. Vibrant aroma of gooseberry, pine, some passionfruit and grapefruit. 7 Quite soft texture initially, perhaps slightly fuller bodied than 5% would suggest, lowish carbonation - all adds up to judicious use of oats I suppose. Not much in the way of sweetness or malt presence, but the hops sit on something. Firm piney bitterness with some astringency that undoes some of the smoothness. Does a good job of being tropical without being at all fruit saladish.

Surprising, thought it was going to be one of those lets try something different beer. Cloudy yellow color, big off-white head. Fruity, hoppy scent. Bitter, hoppy, citrus taste. Lime, spicey aftertaste. Medium to fizzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Tap, Hawker Hall. Light amber with a lasting white head. Mild aroma with vague citrus, crackery dough and pepper. Fairly thin, not much sweetness. Not much malt, some yeasty and very slightly funky dough. Finish is rather low on bitterness but nicely dry and quite peppery. Just OK.

Schooner on tap at the Royal Albert, Sydney. Crystal clear golden amber beer with thin lasting white head. Lightly carbonated. Faint aroma of citrus fruit. Tastes fruity bitter with a solid malt background and grainy finish. Right on style, tastes just as a pilsener should. Excellent quencher.

Draft at Taps, Changkat. Clear orange golden with a white head. Aroma of the strawberry milkshake hop, light red fruits and light doughy notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is big grass bucket hop, citrus fruit. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a light, crisp, grass nettle hop palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Very one dimensional. I’ve nothing against hops but the hop bucket really fell into this and it was a really big bucket!

Schooner at brewery. Faint fruit & malt nose. Slight haze, pale golden beer. A few bubbles. Taste is bitter and fruity with an evolving finish of bitters, sherbet and juicyfruit. Nice, slammable.

330ml bottle into shaker. Lemon pepper nose, touch of cream. Slight haze, amber beer with solid 2 finger head. Light carbonation. Good body, finish is short with earthy hops and bitter lemon. Crisp, easy drinking.

330ml bottle. Pours cloudy and light. Highly carbonated. There’s a lot going on, with a slightly soapy and sour smell, and hops, corn, wheat and lime flavours all coming through. I feel like they’ve tried to do too much, and the wheat and corn in particular really don’t work together.
