Pretty hazy golden and straw coloured body with a slight peach glow and a nice two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of green tea, a light dose of bread and yeast with some grass and floral notes from the hops and perhaps an ever slight dose of pandan leaves in the nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong dry and grassy malts show at first with a light dose of green tea and some floral notes, but the perfumey aspects of the hops are nice and crisp throughout, with a lot of hay and some of the pandan leaves as well, but again, not much at all. Aftertaste shows some green tea notes, but the crisp and grassy, herbal flavours from the hops show longer at the end and bring out the dry notes throughout. Overall, a nice beer with a crisp bite throughout with way more of green tea characteristic than any of the pandan leaves, but a nice beer throughout with a subdued bitterness with a lot of dryness and some perfumey notes from the hops in a good way. Great to sample and while not full of pandan leaf flavour, a nice one to bring back home from up North. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Legacy Beer Store in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on 02-July-2022 for CA$5,00, canned on 16-June-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington after returning from Thanksgiving in Connecticut on 26-November-2022.

473 ml can. Pours a dull amber with moderate head. Aromas of lupulin powder, mashed tropical fruit and wheaty malts. Flavors of pine, pineapple, citrus, and toasted malts. Bitter finish with some tea elements. Might be a bit old…

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours black with a small beige head. Nose is subtle, with soft dry cocoa and toasted malt. Flavour is pretty lame, with toasted malt and maybe a touch of cocoa. Not much body or depth, weak flavour profile. Meh.

Poured from the tap. Murky dark pink with minimal white head. A weird lacto kettle sour with some lemon and feint hints of blackberry, touch of yogurt. Poorly executed. Drain pour.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver; released 5 days ago
Pale blond colour, hazy, medium sized head. The aroma is piney, with citrus peel. The mouthfeel is dry, the malt base is quite crisp, there are tones of hay, of honey, strong grass too, then the big piney hop, the bitter citrus peel, and indeed some pith comes out, in the finish.
I would love it more without the pithy bitterness, but this is a very good, modern IPA.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
(some details got lost) Dirty look, pale brown; there is a light coconut feeling, and light sponge cake, so, although it's not a very interesting beer per se, I admit that it tastes somehow like a pandan chiffon cake.

Cloudy yellow body with minimal foam. Aroma is heavy ginger, some soda, a little septic. Taste is more heavy ginger, sweet and pickled with good sweetness on the back end. Not bad, but might work better as a marinade than a beer.

Nice deep purple body with a bit of foam. Smells of sweet and tart fruit, lots of sugar. Taste is good tart fruit, smooth and just a tiny bit of butter. Not bad, textbook at best.
