Description

Quite clear appearance for a wheat beer. A fresh, citrus hop aroma. A refreshing bitterness and a bit of peppery spice from the yeast.

Hazy amber/orange colour. Aroma has candy-like sweetness. Flavour is quite weak but has a light, fruity sweetness and a yeasty, spicy finish.

Small yellowish head over hazy orange beer. White candi sugar, lightly wheatish, bit pharmaceutical/spicy, citrus. Bitterish-spicy-herbal flavours; citrus in the finish. Yeastesters very present. Pretty carbonated, quite slick, medium bodied at least. Aftertaste shows just a little wheatsourishnesss. Decent. I’d expected more wheatcharacter, seen the description.

Bottle looks simple but good. Mine was still brewed at Kerkom. Beer in the glass looks good, golden, nice head. Starts malty-spicy, a bit sweet with fruity notes. Finish a bit moldy, still spicy. Quite drinkable. Not bad!

On tap at De Heeren van Liedekercke. A two-finger thick, creamy off-white head sits on a slightly unclear, golden-orange body. Lacings. Fruity, quite hoppy aroma with grass and pine cones, some orange peel, and yeast notes and some maltyness. The flavor has orange peel, pine cones, sugary malts and some straw notes. Full-bodied, smooth and maybe a bit heavy on the carbonation. Lasting, bitter finish. A refreshing and well brewed beer with a nice bitterness. 110501

On tap @ Heeren van Liederkercke. Cloudy orange body with a big, stable white head. Fruity, slightly acidic, orange and lemon fruity aroma with some spices and a touch of honey. Flavor is refreshing and fruity with the same ingredients as found in the aroma, the finish is slightly bitter, sharp and feels refreshing. Really nice.
