Description

Bottle @ De Heeren provided gratis as a night cap for staying the night at the establishment. Hazy dark orange appearance with a cream colored head. Quite spicy, a bit orange citrusy hoppy, somewhat toasty aroma. Toasty, light caramel, sweet, fresh bready, orange citrusy, tangy, fairly spicy, somewhat floral flavor. Pretty tasty stuff.

Tap at DHL during Paul’s pre-wedding beer weekend. Fuzzy orange pour with a big, frothy white head. Mild floral hops in the nose, light alcohol and doughy bread. Medium to big sweet flavor, some light spice, bread. Medium to full in body with fine to average carbonation. Pleasantly sweet to finish with light bitterness, faint grass and dandelion, light toasted sugar, faint caramel. Very nice stuff. (3.6)

Bottle at the 500 Miles Tasting, the Sham - thanks to DHL for this bottle. Nice beer. Fairly sweet, moderate bitter straw, biscuits. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Mild dryness to finish, sweet pale malts. Tasty beer. (3.6)

1/VI/2012 - 33cl bottle @ De Heeren van Liedekercke (Denderleeuw) - BB: XII/11 (2012-565)

Little cloudy amber to red brown beer, big creamy light beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: spicy, grassy hops, touch of citrus, but dusty, overripe fruits, some paint. MF: good carbon, medium body, bit creamy texture. Taste: bit of caramel, malts, some milk chocolate, little sour, fruity. Aftertaste: bitter hops domination over a subtle spiciness, bit chemical, touch of banana and overripe fruit maybe due to the age.

Hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of candy, sweets (zuurtjes), coriander, quite fresh. Light sour wheat flavour, light sweet, yeast and spices. Short finish.
Interesting take, but this beer still needs a little tweaking imho.

8/V/2012 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: II/2013 (2012-474)

Clear blond beer, lots of very small sediment floating around under a nice creamy white head, little stable. Aroma: bit malty, candi sugar, bit chemical (paint), some citrus. MF: soft carbon, medium body, creamy texture. Taste: sweet malts, somewhat sugary, lemon zest, litte fruity. Aftertaste slightly chemical bitterness, and a bit sugary. Probably a lot better when consumed fresh. But afaik it's a one time brew only.
