Golden orange with a firm off-white head. Big fruity notes, citrus, candied lemon peel, apricot, minerals, hay, earthy. Medium bodied. Finishes with a long tartness- not sharp so much just lingering and encompassing. Very, very nice.

Bottle. Color: Hazy golden, stable white head. Aroma: Moldy farm barn funk, fruity gooseberry. Taste: Fruity gooseberry, some grape and citrus, subtle Sherry notes, quite a lot of moldy barn farm funk and oak wood. Minerals at the finish. Moderate tartness, light 'old hop' bitterness. Medium body, below average carbonation. Easy drinkable, yet nice complexity.

Pours clear, slighlty darker blonde / amber. medium large, fairly stable white head. Scent is very full, funky, oaky, and specifically mineral - almost to a Cantillon level. very raw grainy base. Lovely! Taste is full, sharp, very mineral, tad smokey almost, tough funk, brett, bit rubbery though. oaky, outspoken minerality. This has some aspects of the amazing geus genereus! I do really like this, even woith the 'rubbery' aspect I'd think of as a negative. Quite harsh acidity in the back but it doesn't linger, it has some oxidative notes and ends quite full, outspoken on minerality and funk rather than acidity.

Backlog May 2009. Unclear deep golden body under a nice off-white head. Weak aroma, slightly metallic with hint of malt. Taste has light malt with hint of caramel, some fruit and slightly bitter. Medium body with a sweet and bitter aftertaste. Feels a bit out of balance.

0.375 l bottle from 'Het Huis van de Geuze', best before May 2045. A little hazy, golden with a medium large, slightly fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sourish, rather fruity, gently funky aroma of overripe lemon, horse blanket, oak, some leather and hints of vinegar. Quite sour, rather fruity, gently funky taste of overripe lemon, vinegar, horse blanket, oak and some apple, followed by a medium long, fairly tart, slightly woody-dry finish. Medium body, rather astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Solid Geuze, a bit too acidic for ky liking.

Slightly sweetish, sourish, rather fruity, quite funky aroma of overripe lemon, gooseberry, horse blanket, oak and hints of vinegar. Minimally sweet, gently sour, rather fruity, quite funky taste of overripe lemon, gooseberry, some white wine, hay, horse blanket, oak, some apple and a touch of white pepper, followed by a medium long, quite tart, gently woody-dry finish. Medium body, quite astringent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Lovely fruit-forward Geuze, very refreshing, excellently balanced.
