Hazy beige. Aroma of apple, some peach, light perfume. Very yeasty, with an astringent dustiness but that fades amidst bright florals and leafy hops. That character carries through the beer. Yeah, not the best notes but I was enjoying the beer and my friends.

750 ml. bottle from Zinister, shared at the 12/7 tasting at Indra’s. Pour is caramel brown with a tan head that fades immediately. Aroma of dried fruit (primarily raisins) and Belgian yeastiness. Taste is a nice solid maltiness with raisins throughout. As it warms, the Belgian yeast flavor takes center stage. Nice full body, and extremely well balanced.

Bottle graciously shared by jjpm74, too kind. The bottle pours very thick looking, such a dense beer, cannot see through it at all. I don’t know what it is but there are little black specks that settle at the bottom of the glass. I was also highly surprised this was a yellow/golden beer, just always imagined this to be a red hued brew. There is a minimal head that quickly fades into nothing. Aroma is light sour with peaches and faint strawberry. Light sour, light fruit but thick and pasty. Tastes is lightly acidic, faintly sour with a white grape/doughy sweetness. Just leave an extremely faint acidity on the cheeks. A medium heavy body that is felt on the cheeks. Its a nice beer, not nearly as sour as I would want it to be. Maybe time will bring out some more sourness and dry it out a bit.

Bottled. Citruspeel and flowery aroma. Cloudy yellow, creamy head. Nice orangezest notes, background bubblegum and vanilla - quite harmonic. Medium sparkly mouthfeel. Nice citrus aftertaste.

Noogfest Thanks to Shp555 for bringing this one to share. Pours muddy brown with a tan head. The aroma is sour, fruity and malt based. Sweet fruity start, dry finish. A bit thin bodied. A touch more complexity would make this a standout.

Bottle. Blackishh beer with a tan head. Brandy, malt, vanilla aroma. Big dark malt, chocolate, caramel, brandy, vanilla flavor that just all comes together very nicely. Good complexity. Rich full body. Alcohol gives a nice warming affect without seeming too high. Flavors linger with a bit of fruit added.

Bottle. Many thanks to Markus (bu11zeye) for this one. Pours a dark brown/amber color with a small off-white head. Spicy malty dark fruit aroma wit hints of raisins. Spicy malty dark fruit and raisin flavor. Long dry spicy warming finish.

Draft at the Bistro’s West Coast BA Fest, 11/10/07, Nose is tartness, citrus, light fruit, and spices; Clear yellow gold with a medium yellow-tinged head; flavor had peppery spiciness, light peachiness, and lemony tartness. Great sour! Tart but not too much!
